Catalyst Fitness has been transformative for me! After a torn meniscus 13 years ago, followed by an orthopedic surgeon telling me I needed a knee replacement at 45 years old; I had all but given up on ever being fit again, or losing the 60+ pounds I had gained in 20 years from having three kids and career stress. I had tried personal training, gyms, keto, paleo, IF, and macro counting over the years, but my knee became the most limiting factor for exercise. I walked in with low expectations; Corey, Katherine, Bryan, & Shandy blew my mind with their compassion, knowledge, and support. I am now eating healthier than I have in years, and working out 4 x week with little to no knee pain (without missing any major muscle groups thanks to everyone’s creative suggestions and breadth of exercise knowledge- even my PT couldn’t help me build strength and stability relatively pain free the way I have in the last 7 weeks at Catalyst)! And now I have the confidence and hope to move forward with my weight loss and fitness goals! I am down 13 lbs already, and people are already commenting that they see a difference! And the best part? The encouragement that comes from these small group sessions; with folks of all abilities and all at different stages of their journeys, all with varying goals of weight loss, fitness levels, and/or strength improvement! No judgement, just a positive, friendly atmosphere, where we all work out and journey together! For me personally, with a background in team sports, it really embodies the environment that I grew up exercising in. Every two weeks, the workout cycles are changed, both for exercise variety and changes to help build muscle. So much better than a static workout routine. So excited to continue this journey!
