I had high hopes for this gym, but it completely missed the mark. While they claim to be all about community and being "family-friendly," the reality is the exact opposite.Other members' kids are required to sit in a barely visible waiting room, yet the owner is permitted to bring his own winey, rude, loud children, who are allowed to run all over and touch/hang on whatever they want. Forget getting any actual coaching if his kids are there. He spends 99% of the time dealing with their screaming and demands instead of helping paying members. I know I shouldn’t be talking about kids so negatively, but after hearing the same opinions from members I feel someone should say it.The other coaches are okay, but clearly do not want to be there. Most of their time is spent complaining or talking negatively about other coaches, the owner, and fellow members. On top of that, their spin studio was my favorite part of the gym, but they barely offer any classes, and the few they do offer never fit my schedule.I’ve tried a lot of gyms over the years, and this one left me extremely disappointed. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

One of the best fitness programs I have been to. I’ve been taking their indoor cycling classes and the instructors bring the energy I’ve been needing. I look forward to every morning to the point where I’m considering one of their ultimate membership plans to join the CrossFit program. Absolutely love Ashley and Lauren as they have been so welcoming to myself getting back into my fitness routine. DO IT

I joined Blackstone River CrossFit in April. Everyone is so friendly and supportive. As a person new to CrossFit I was completely put of my comfort zone but the coaches are all very supportive and helpful. I would highly recommend this gym.

I have been a member at Blackstone River CrossFit for nine months and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made! I was intimidated when I started but from the very first class I felt welcomed and supported. Everyone is so encouraging. There is a wonderful feeling of community. The coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful. They know when to push you to reach your potential but also offer scaling options when you need them. It has been a great way to push myself both mentally and physically. I look forward to going everyday! Thank you BRCF!

I’ve been at BRCF for 2 weeks and it’s been transformative. I lost 5 lbs with ease and started eating the right way (enough proteins for the first time in my life). Turns out CrossFit isn’t the same everywhere. All the instructors at BRCF are incredible knowledgeable and friendly! I was quite intimated by CrossFit at first and avoided it for years. But I’m so glad to finally find the community where I get inspired by so many women and men everyday. The accountability and knowledge are there! There are SO MANY classes each day from early morning, noon, mid afternoon until evening. I’ve never seen this level of flexibility and commitment before. After practicing taekwondo for two decades, I’m thrilled to have found something new and feel like a “white” belt again. Starting with my limited upper body strength, I can feel the progress I’m making every time and I love all the new friends I’m making along the way. Come join us!!

I’ve been a member at BRCF for a few months now and it’s been one of the best decisions. I’ve seen so much progress in just a few months than I ever would’ve seen just working out on my own. The programming pushes you but is scalable no matter where you’re at & the coaches make sure to help you find that middle ground. If you’re tired of doing the same thing over and over like I was or if you want to push your body in new ways, give this gym a try. The community here will support you no matter where you are at in your fitness journey

I’ve been a member at Blackstone River CrossFit for almost four years now,, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I walked in the place, and being new to CrossFit I felt welcomed by an amazing group of people even though it was 5:30 AM. The members are all so encouraging and they just want one another to be the best they can be all while having a little fun and engaging in some socializing. From day one, I was welcomed by an amazing community that supports and encourages each other, no matter your skill level. The coaches are knowledgeable and know when to push you to reach your potential. Each workout includes various scaling options, ensuring that everyone can participate and challenge themselves according to their skill level. I was able to work out through my entire pregnancy with different scaling options and then get back to my pre-pregnancy self with the help of a nutrition challenge and weekly check-ins! Joining Blackstone River CrossFit has been life changing for me. I came in unhealthy and unhappy with my body. I had two kids and had put myself on the back burner. I decided last March it was time to make myself a priority. When I started I was set up with a nutrition plan and learned how to eat well and achieve my goal of losing weight. I was held accountable with weekly check ins and in 6 weeks I was down 17 pounds. It's been 8 months and I'm now down 25 pounds. I've maintained and not gained any of the weight back. I eat well, indulge in moderation and workout with my new besties at least 3 days a week if not more. Blackstone River CrossFit is an amazing gym and community to be apart of and by far the friendliest gym I have ever been to! The entire community was so nice and welcoming when I started, I have really loved it from day one. My 7am girlies push me to want to better and I'm so proud of all of us. I'm grateful for all the friendships I have made. The coaches all know my capabilities (and when to push me) and the atmosphere is supportive and fun. I had come in with the goal to loose weight and have achieved so much more in these last 8 months. I never thought I would enjoy something so much. If you had asked me a year ago if I would be where I am now I probably would've laughed at you. The end of this month I am actually running my first 5K. Again would've laughed at you if you had told me this is what I would be doing a year ago. Joining is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am healthier, stronger and so dang proud of myself!

Blackstone River CrossFit is a phenomenal gym that I cannot recommend enough! The community is so welcoming and supportive no matter where you are in your fitness journey, the coaches are super knowledgeable and are always there to push you when you need it, and the class programming is always varied and able to be modified so it’s accessible to all skill levels. With their help I have made AMAZING progress in 6 months and have no intention of stopping anytime soon!
