Pat's Family Barbecue
We've eaten at Pat's Family Barbecue 3x now (food truck) and they've been sold out of ribs every single time except last time we ate there. My own ribs are my pride & joy and I wanted to try Pat's not because I thought they'd be great, but just because I tried all his other meats and they were spectacular. Well, he had 1 rack left when I rolled up around 4 and they knocked my socks off. I first looked at them and thought, "wayyyy tooo much pepper, dude" and bit in, and it fit absolutely perfectly with the rest of the rub. Incredibly meaty, flavorful, tender, and didn't need barbecue sauce. And they didn't give in to this ridiculous trend that everything should be so overcooked the bones fall out. You could actually pick up a bone and take a bite which was incredibly tender. (but you could still tell it was meat!!!) Everything they do that I've eaten is good. Brisket, Chicken, Ribs, and Pork. Mac, beans, and BANANA PUDDING. I looked my wife in the eyes and said,"Are they better than mine?" and I knew the answer before she said, "Honey, your ribs are the best in the world". It was a kind lie, but still a lie. And our little 1 year old goes absolutely nuts for the banana pudding. He's a pretty chill little dude, UNLESS there is Banana pudding on the table, and he's finished eating what's in his mouth. Then he gets loud ... DAAAAAAADDDDD ..... MOOORRRRRRREEEEE. But if I'm honest, that's how I'm feeling when I run out of the meat. It's worth the trip wherever you live.
