We recently had our wedding at Potters and we could not be more delighted !The entire experience was a breeze, from getting ready in the penthouse, to the chapel ceremony, followed by us + friends and family staying the night on site following the reception.Ale held our hands through the entire process & Amalia was so responsive over emails when needed ! They both went above and beyond dealing with all my questions and making sure the wedding was set to go - thanks so much to Ale for all the behind the scenes work and late night email chains!On the day Sheila & Vanessa took control and I can honestly say anytime I saw Sheila was involved in any aspect of the day I knew I didn’t have to worry. As the bride & groom we were overstimulated and had a lot going on and Vanessa stepped in as bodyguard, confidant and all round support for us! She was incredible at keeping guests at bay, making sure we were taking in the wedding and helping every step of the way - while Sheila worked the background ensuring every aspect of the wedding was an absolute dream!The chapel was gorgeous, the accommodation phenomenal and the support we received from Potters was unmatched!! We even had a few guests enjoy the venue so much they spent our wedding coordinating how to host theirs at Potters too!!!We cannot recommend Potters and the team enough & would like to thank every single person from day staff to night staff for going above and beyond on our special day - every unforgettable moment was thanks to Potters and their support and assistance!

My husband and I recently got married at Potters with an external catering option for Asian catering.Inclusions for an external caterer was great - coordination team, supervising staff, table decor and numbers. The team checks up on you over the course of the planning process with some in person meetings which we greatly appreciated. We also could drop off some of our items early to reduce the stress on the day.Communication was very quick over the course of planning. It was however confusing towards the end as our original coordinator did leave and there was a swap of coordinators. Some documents were resent and we had to refill more than once that made the process slightly more stressful. The team forgot that we were comped the penthouse and we did have to point that out during our final meeting or be charged an additional $1000. Make sure to keep a copy of your contract! They however were very apologetic and compensated some hire chairs for us.Our reception was from 6-11pm with a 5pm canape/cocktail hour, we were charged an additional $200 for the canape hour as Potters staff had to come supervise for that hour which we were not initially aware of. So please be aware of this if you are choosing an external catering package.But the highlight of the entire experience was the service we were provided on the day by the Potters Team specifically Sheila and Ale. Sheila was super helpful in reminding us of our timeline, calming me down and assisting with the small things. She really helped with fostering a calm environment during a very stressful time. She also assisted with moving some of our items from the rooms to the reception.It was also a very rainy and muddy day and my dress got very dirty before my civil ceremony. During my tea ceremony whilst i was in another dress, Ale and a bridesmaid spent an hour cleaning, scrubbing and drying my dress in the sink of the penthouse and it looked like nothing had ever happened! The amount of service that these two ladies provided was beyond anything that I could ever imagine for our special day. Big thank you to those two!If you are looking for a venue for your wedding and are interested in external catering, Potter's is a great place to choose!

Spectacular venue! We had our wedding in March where the greens and the courtyard were especially stunning 😍The staff are so quick, flexible and professional all day; shout out to both Sharon and Claude who went above and beyond on the day to welcome us and helped us with everything we needed and more! We had nothing to worry about on the day other than our first dance choreography!It was tricky getting all the documents and prep work together especially with the change in staff and who looks after our case but they tried their best to accommodate and communicate regularly. Just gotta say that the same but different documents to be filled out as the date got closer can be quite confusing at times.The food is truly delicious and in great portions; it was the talk of the night.By the way, the chapel is 18m from the front to the back door FYI.

My husband Alex and were married at Potters in October '25. We chose October specifically as it was said to be the best time for the flowering Wisteria vine and sure enough it proved to be beautiful!We had a wedding of approx 130 guests.From the start, communication with the team at Potters was extremely quick and efficient. I emailed maaaany questions in the year or so lead up to our wedding and always received a quick reply. Things became only slightly delayed as our wedding day drew closer due to being in the middle of the busy wedding season, however in this case a phone call was always promptly answered and any important details settled quickly over the phone instead.Our main point of contact was Trillian and she did a fabulous job. Occasionally we also had some help from Amalia, Cass and Debbie who were all lovely.The planning process was fairly straight forward and Potters provided a detailed document to fill out as well as seating planners.Potters provided a very easy, all inclusive set up for the ceremony and reception. The only downsides I would say would be extra costs can be quite steep - including the tasting night, room hire, additional chair hire, and adding on extra platters of food or drinks. I do believe their newer packages have more inclusions such as the bridal suite for getting ready and included tasting night.I enjoyed the fact that guests can book and pay for a room directly which was great for some close relatives who chose to stay the night.For the ceremony:The team on the day were so sweet and helpful and made me feel totally at ease. They were so clear with their instructions and shepherded everyone where they needed to go.Vanessa was lovely as an assistant and also did an amazing job on content creation for us! She posted a bunch of clips after our wedding day which was amazing and I still love watching them. This was free and very unexpected but such a lovely thing to do for Potters couples!It was a little touch and go on the day as the sky decided to open up and pour just minutes before the ceremony was set to start. However the staff at Potters were amazing and made sure that nothing was damaged in the ceremony set up and quickly wiped down the chairs as it stopped raining. My assistant was extremely reassuring and had her weather app up constantly updating me on when it would stop and timed the start of our ceremony perfectly. The sun came out just as I walked down the aisle and it was magical!For the reception:The reception manager was so thoughtful and polite. He really worked to improve our night after a bit of a hiccup happened with a family member and went above and beyond in his service to make our night one to remember.Food was amazing, tasty and plentiful. I do wish they offered table service to serve the wedding cake with coffee afterwards - we did donuts rather than cake, and it's served at a buffet table off to the side of the room after the plated dessert. However by this point in the night everyone is busy dancing and I personally didn't even see the buffet table - luckily we were served some donuts at our room later. I did enjoy that the staff were thoughtful enough to offer to-go bags with the leftover donuts to guests at the end of the night!The room was very comfortable and we had some drinks and desserts thoughtfully laid out for us - although we got very little chance to enjoy the gorgeous room and bathroom since we were so tired and left first thing in the morning.Overall I'm very happy we chose Potters for our wedding venue and honestly couldn't find any major fault with them. The location really is unmatched and getting married under the wisteria was a dream come true. Thank you so much to the entire team at Potters!

Had a function at the Chapel, which is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere, suited to small celebrations etc. There not a lot of seating, fits perhaps 50-60 people , but is lovely open setting with restaurant /function centre close by. Ample parking, a hidden gem in SE Melbourne (Warrandyte).

If you’re still looking for a venue for your wedding in the Yarra Valley look no further than Potters Receptions! We had our beautiful early June winter wedding there and it was absolutely stunning. The grounds there are beautiful and it is a true testament to the work their groundskeepers must put in to it daily to ensure it is always looking 100%!From the moment we walked in for our initial tour we felt the warmth and kindness from all staff members. The reception area, courtyard, chapel, gallery, penthouse and accomodation were all flawless. We knew straight away that this was the venue for us and we absolutely loved it!On the wedding day we had our own wedding coordinator provided by Potters that ensured everything ran smoothly from the timing of the ceremony right through to the final goodbye. The bridal party got ready on site in the gorgeous penthouse with access from 10am and they even included a large nibbles platter while hair and make up were being done.All of our guests raved about the food and service! The gnocchi and the lamb shank were particular highlights. The in house photo booth was a hit, as was the candy bar that they set up with the lollies we provided.The accommodation on the grounds was lovely and a great place to stay for the night. They even put together a little platter with some of our wedding cake and champagne for us in our room. I 100% recommend Potters for your wedding if you’re looking for a venue that already has so many amazing facilities on site. Potters is such a beautiful venue in the Yarra Valley, and we were so glad to have chosen it for our winter wedding. The indoor options were perfect for the season, and we received so many compliments from our guests about both the stunning setting and the quality of the food.Trillian and the team were wonderful to deal with as they are always responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I really wanted a piano at the reception, and they were extremely accommodating. They even coordinated with the piano delivery so it could be set up the day before (as there was no wedding), allowing me time to practise and familiarise myself. On the wedding day, Vanessa was there supporting us and, to our surprise, produced the most beautiful Instagram reels the very next day, which we absolutely loved.One tip I would share with couples planning here is to never assume anything, always ask if you’re unsure. For example, we had an early morning wedding and hoped to use the Potters gallery for some groom shots two hours before the ceremony. As per the contract, this wasn’t allowed unless we paid an additional charge of $500 which was exorbitant. Beautiful place but service was their Achilles heel. Drinks were regularly taken off tables and felt like there was no love from staff. Everything is run by the book. Food was amazing though.

We were there for a funeral service, and it was a great venue. I think it would be a nice place to hold your wedding service and reception. Although I'm not sure what they have in the way of separate rooms for the bridal party to get ready.
