At 545 pm, when no one arrived, I called in. The receptionist s said should would call the electrician to get an update on arrival time. At 6:30, after repeated attempts calling back and being routed to voice mail, I left a message that I was leaving and would reschedule. Thirty minutes later I got a voicemail saying she was sorry she missed me and rescheduled for January 2 would be better. Now this next thing is on me because when I had not heard back from them on January 2nd to reschedule, I called and rescheduled for January 3rd because the company had good google reviews--my bad. They suck you in my dangling that there is no trip fee but when Ben the electrician showed he merely looked at the setup and said there is a $250 "diagnostic fee" (a second company I called with equally good reviews I called had a $45 trip fee but the diagnostic fee was only $45). Ben justified the $250 by saying the issue would be hard to diagnose but came back less than 20 minutes later providing me an estimate for a new electric panel to the tune of $8,028 which provided minimal information about what work would actually be done and without a verbal description of what work would be done and left. Start to finish he was gone in about 45 minutes. This IN CONTRAST to a second appointment I set up where the electrician not only provided a detailed written description of the work that he would complete he also took the time to explain and walk me through all the issues that needed to be addressed which included combining four different breaker boxes, the location of the new panel, and removing outdated snakeskin wiring, explaining what Longmont Power needed to do before he could start work and providing me with a timeline for completing the work done. Needless to say, for a bit more money, I selected this company for the job. Less

Needed a 240V circuit installed, ran wiring, added circuit breaker etc.

They replaced a ceiling fan in the basement with a smaller fan, then took the fan from the basement and installed it in the first floor great room. The hard part was the connection was 25 feet up. They were able to install scaffolding instead of tall ladders that allowed them to reach the connection. Afterwards they cleaned up and made sure everything work. Somehow, the total cost came out to $2200, way over my budget. I never received an explanation as to why the original quote came out to almost 300% the quoted price. The owner tried to explain that the $750 was a deposit (which was a flat out lie, because their deposit is actually $600, and the paper they gave me clearly said QUOTE).Tim, the owner, then proceeded to put me in the middle of a fight he had with his licensed journeyman that did the actual work, threatening to have him fired and remove his license, none of which was what I wanted or asked for.To top it all off, after reluctantly paying $2200, only one of the wires they installed actually worked. They drilled half a dozen holes in my house, some of which they didn't even use for running wire, and didn't bother to patch them up. Now, Tim refuses to call me back or respond to any of my requests for either a partial refund or to have them finish the work.I will never use this company again, and I plan on reporting them to the BBB.
