Brilliant service and aftercare.

These guys might seem all amazing online and to the social media image but don’t believe everything you see. I’m from Peterborough where these guys are based and the cars these guys tune end up blowing up, having issues and make awful power figures. They say there files are custom when they aren’t, they are flashed maps and at most, tweaked about a little bit to add more overrun etc…I could list ... More

These guys might seem all amazing online and to the social media image but don’t believe everything you see. I’m from Peterborough where these guys are based and the cars these guys tune end up blowing up, having issues and make awful power figures. They say there files are custom when they aren’t, they are flashed maps and at most, tweaked about a little bit to add more overrun etc…I could list at least 10 people that have gone there will relatively low mileage vehicles with regular maintenance taken place on them and after being tuned with them there cars have had all kinds of issues. I wouldn’t trust them in the slightest.The best thing about it it’s not like they are really cheap either!The main reason why I’m writing this review is because I had my car booked in for a resonator delete which I’d supplied the part for and I brought one that came with two clamps meaning you could un bolt the new and re bolt the old one back on at anytime. I’d explained this to one of the lads there and he said yeah that’s fine. About 4-5 hours later they had apparently finished, gave me back my old resonator in 3 different pieces meaning I couldn’t bolt it back on whenever and I got the answer of when you want it going back on just book in again and we will re weld it.So what did I do, I emailed them explaining all of this and saying I was told to bring it back in to re weld it back on and I got completely ignored on email.This now means I’ve got to go to a different garage to get a res sorted out and pay on top of the already £150 (Labour only) cost I’ve paid to them have some re weld part of my res back together.I don’t usually complain about companies but this did annoy me a lot.Don’t go near this company, they don’t actually know what they are doing. Arrived at 830am wasn't finished till 430pm.The map itself was terrible and produced fault codes and failed my mot on carbon monoxide due to the bad fueling. He was more than happy to answer all my questions about his company and how he likes to get things right for the customer , found him every approachable and knowledgeable. Had my car checked over and they found the pipe used for the exhaust was only 1 3/4 inch instead of the quoted 2.5 inch and overall the quality is just sloppy compared to other systems I have seen produced by eco max I won’t say avoid eco max as this could have just been a one off bad job. Jan 2016 Volvo V70 estate 2 litre D4 .Had egr valve codes and dpf pressure sensor pipe .engine orange light and reduced power.Cost of egr valve and cooler 1200 pounds for just those parts .Mapped out and now have extra bhp and better fuel economy for a third of those prices .Brilliant service got a recommendation on these guys and I'd spoken to many other places but none as professional.solved my... I had no idea whether front, rear or both needed changing and in all honesty, would have been happy to have paid for both to be done. I really appreciate honesty and think it speaks volumes, so when I was informed that just the front needing doing and the rears had a good 10,000-15,000 mileage left in them, I knew that this was a place that could be trusted. A quote was provided and in my opinion, it was extremely competitive. The work was carried out in good time, I was notified when they were done with my vehicle and when it came to settling the bill, the price was exactly the same as quoted, no hidden costs or surprises! This is a place that you can trust and you won't be ripped off. Customer service is excellent, as is the quality of the work. I'll certainly be brining my car back in the future. You have missed the point. Firstly The original engine had a diagnosed misfire on cylinder 3 as per compression test that’s why the engine was replaced which was escalated by the maps that were put on the carIt wasn’t 3 home visits it was 2 one by Steven and once by yourself. Steven came to put car back to stock once engine was replaced and we contacted you again as the fault continued and stated it was not running right was misfiring and stalling.You attended in person drove the car around for over 40 minutes collecting live data and stated you could not give any faults as no codes were coming up even on your system and agreed car was not running right and were also confused. You said you was sending all the data to someone to look at and would get back to me. You sent me a voice note mentioning nothing about the live data only saying you recommend a good mechanic but still to this day he hasn’t returned my call. What a mechanic. So even your computer pulled up no faults when you yourself could feel the issue when driving it.You assured me car was back to stock but failed to me tell that instead of only mapping the d cat code your mechanic had mapped out all the codes preventing any codes from coming on all 4 different mechanics computers.Jabba sport test drive the car before they returned car back to factory settings and instantly the dash lit up like a fairground ride and codes came up.As for blaming 4 different mechanics I find that hilarious considering the VW was one of them who ran a diagnostics and no fault codes came up.You say you helped but yet couldn’t even simple return the car back to stock correctly as requested which is why no fault codes were showing up. Had it been factory reset as per my request like Jabba sort did we wouldn’t have been in that situation as long as we have.You did the work end of April last year 2022 and car was off road by beginning June 2022 that’s not months of enjoyment and remained off the road till engine was replaced in October. You was supposed to send someone out but they never arrived and I had to chase it up which is when Steven came and was supposed to put it back to stock.I even called the office before leaving this feedback and spoke to Steven after Jabba Sport confirmed that the stock map that had been put on the car by Steven had mapped out all fault codes and was told you would call me back. But no call from anyone. I fail to see how before it was returned to stock engine codes were coming up but as soon as new engine was put in and your staff touched it before it was driven more than 5 miles all of a sudden no codes.You’re right it was a mechanical fault that should have pulled up fault codes and would have had the codes not been mapped out.Jabba Sort are specialists in their field like you said so I trust them 100%. I think if people are going to do tuning then they should also invest in becoming specialists like them before tuning cars as it’s not as simple as some may think.Maybe you should recommend a mechanic that actually returns customers calls cos your highly recommend mechanic didn’t bother. After car constantly got flashing coil light relating to DPF pressure sensor. didn't get any ganes on power or fuel economy. Basically money wasted, hollowed out my DPF to make it look like it hasn't been tampered with, rather then straight pipe. Fail... More

First experience with these guys. I contacted Ecomax early this week and asked to be booked in for a complete DPF clean which they happily booked me in for, explained the process and the price. My ability to retain any information about cars is shocking which I did tell them when dropping my car off. When collecting my car they actually informed me that it was the sensors that need fixing which is cheaper than the DPF clean. They happily let me keep my car with them over night, squeeze it in for repair the next day (which I hadn't even booked for) and ready to collect. They could of completely had me on making me pay for both knowing that I’m not good with cars but they didn’t which I definitely thank them for not just repairing my car but for being honest, reliable and for their friendly customer service 🙂 Less

With an RAC report and independant garage report they still said they couldnt find a fault!! We asked to return the car for a refund which they refused this people are using a dodgy garage for MOT and the machanic is the same my advice to everyone avoid this palace Less

Took my own ECU out of the focus to be helpful they benched it and it has some good pull to it for a 1.6 tdci on a 60 plate so thank you for that 👍
