Like most new construction homes with fiberglass rooftop decks in Philly, I have been dealing with an intermittent leak on my roof for the last couple of years. I reached out to pretty much any contractor within the Philly area (Primo, Hybrid, Philadelphia quality, Jefferson roofing, FSI to name a few) who will work on fiberglass to get an estimate. After reviewing my options and doing my research, I decided to go with Alpha & Omega.FSI provided me with an estimate for my scupper boxes and to fix the door pans but could not promised the leaks would stop. I did not want to invest 6k+ and potentially more with no guarantee.Primo provided me an estimate for 11 K but the repairs did not seem as extensive as AOF.Hybrid and Philadelphia quality roof offered to fix but also could not offer a guarantee the leak would be resolved. Instead they pushed for duradeck, a new roofing system that would cost in excess of 40K for my pretty much brand new home.A lot of roofers told me fiberglass commonly leaks and is not designed to be used for roofing and that I should invest in a new roofing system. I challenge that view as many new construction homes in Philly are still being built with fiberglass roofs and also million dollar homes by the Jersey shore. I would like to believe that builders are not allowed to continue to use fiberglass if it is unsafe for the roof. Rather, I believe that fiberglass is highly specialized and skilled so a lot of roofers get it wrong.Because a roof deck needs to be traffic bearing, the options are limited, besides fiberglass you can invest 40K+ for duradeck or build a wood deck or pedestal system above your roof, but that would require removing to get to the waterproofing membrane if you’re roof needs to be serviced.For this reasoning, I decided to go with alpha and omega. David and Orlando went out to my home and actually inspected the fiberglass, something a lot of contractors do not do, and offered a solution. AOF removed all by siding, address any areas that seemed to be leaking, and reinstalled by siding. After, they apply new fiberglass to areas on my deck that needed repair and finished off with a new gelcoat. The drainage of water seems to be even better after repair as I think they resloped the fiberglass. The crew of 8 or so was very diligent and got all the work done in a couple of days. Even though they only provide a 1 year warranty since its a repair and not a roof they built, I have not had any issues after a couple of rain storms and am hopeful it’ll hold up for years to come. I also got an estimate from AOF on the cost of a new roof, and if I remember correctly, roof replacement with AOF was roughly $25 K, still half the cost of duradeck for a brand new roof (just as a worse case scenario in case the repairs do not work).The repair looks great and so far so good in terms of water proofing. Only minor issue is communicating with technicians during the repairs because a language barriers exists but the office is very responsive and has sent technicians back out for minor stuff I noticed on the roof such as an area that needs more caulk.

This is a late review from work done a few months ago. Alpha Omega was really wonderful to work with. They came out for an estimate and were thorough in their assessment of what was going on and their proposal. I felt good about moving forward (the plan made sense to me and I didn’t feel taken advantage of) and they had their crew out by the end of that week. My roof deck looks completely rejuvenated and it was worth every penny. The workers who did the work were especially excellent - kind, professional, and meticulous. Thanks everyone!

I rarely leave reviews, but the fiberglass job done on my roof was so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. From the start, the quality of work was poor and the experience only got worse. The paint on the roof was never consistent - there were visible variations in color and coverage from day one, which should have been a red flag. Less than a year later, the situation became completely unacceptable. As you can see in the picture the paint bubbled up all over the floor, clearly showing that the materials and application were substandard.The worst part is that their shoddy work eventually led to water damage on my ceiling. A roofing job is supposed to protect your home, not cause more problems, and now I’m facing additional repairs and costs because they didn’t do the job properly.From beginning to end, this was a bad experience: poor workmanship, poor results and lasting damage. I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

I was very nervous about finding a company to repair my fiberglass roof deck. So many contractors in Philly have been unreliable and have provided poor quality work. I’m happy that Alpha & Omega was not the case. The company was very responsive to our questions and did an amazing job in just 2 days! The cost was high, but you get what you pay for and I feel like the price was very fair for the amount and quality of work we had done. I would feel very confident recommending them to others who are searching for fiberglass roof repairs.

I had a very disturbing experience with this company, after calling other companies for fiberglass repairs. They said my issue was exposed wood under parapet tops, when I showed them other issues like warped wood due to moisture, they said that is also a problem but it is not economical to fix. They also said rusted staples were not an issue all over my deck, that the standing water and bad pitch is very challenging to fix, which contradicts multiple other fiberglass companies saying otherwise.I want a roofer i can trust - who takes videos, explains things, and does not undermine problems for the sake of being economical. Look at FSI if you want thorough honest and reputable fiberglass repairs.

I was really impressed by the quality of the work. There was some actual repairs that needed to be done and they took care of those. My roof deck looks like new!
