Ricky from Cool Down Heat & Air was assigned to my claim through my warranty company (that has let me down before...) -- he was very flexible with my schedule, very communicative, had fast availability, respectful, and excellent at what he does. He explained what my issue was, how to prevent something similar happening in the future, and proactively reached out to my warranty company to get approval for a new thermostat (as mine was shorting out and very very old). They approved it and he came back again within 24 hours to replace it, and it took maybe 15 minutes. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be calling him again on my own if I run into any other HVAC/Mechanical issues in the future! Quick response, clean and professional. I have split zone units in my house. Three of them. Two of the furnaces started giving me trouble just as the cool weather started Setting in. I contacted Rick with Cool down heating and air and he had one of his technicians named Xavier at the house that evening. He had one of the furnaces up and running within an hour. The other furnace was a little more complicated and it was getting late so the next evening Rick himself came out, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed and running within the hour, they put everything back together and cleaned up around their work area. could not of expected any better service Cool down heating and air will definitely be getting all of my business when it comes to my heating and cooling system on my residence! I have never rated anything before but I am now because of Rick. About a week and a half ago, I went through my insurance to have my AC checked because its been 100+ and my AC was blowing hot air only (on cooler days, the AC does work). The tech through my insurance came, spent about 10mins outside and told me it'll cost $500 for a common wire connection. He didn't want to answer any questions I had and was in a rush to leave. He did tell me he had 30yrs experience. Something didn't feel right so 3days ago I called Cool Down Heating and made an appointment. I was at work but my wife was home. Rick called and said he could come by earlier than scheduled. He spent about 2 1/2 hours outside in the heat replacing, repairing, and cleaning my unit. On top of all that, he explained everything so well to my wife that my wife was able to explain everything to me. The AC has been running and keeping my little family comfortable in this 100 degree weather thanks to Rick. If you want an honest man and an honest mans work, call Cool Down Heating. Anything I will need done with my heating and cooling system, I will be using this company for now on. Our furnace went out and we were afraid we would have to replace it. But Mr Roberts found the problem, replaced the thermostat at no charge and cleaned the coil for better air flow. He was quick and friendly. I used his previous reviews to call his company for the service call and am happy that he was all that and a bag of chips. Will be using his company for our AC unit in the spring. 07/27/2023 Found out the previous dude that put the AC unit in wasn't an honest guy. Rick was upfront and honest about what needed to be done, he got what was needed as quickly as possible, gave us an affordable quote and when he found more issues he returned quickly to solve those issues too. My house is cool again, my brother is happy and I didn't have to take out a loan to pay the bill. Less

He takes time to explain the problem & answers every question honestly. We have a home warranty but after having a couple disastrous experiences with home warranty contractors & going 8 weeks without upstairs ac last summer, we decided to just give Nate a call & im so glad we did because it was worth it. We have a home warranty company that we work with, and when our air went out we immediately filed a claim with them. They originally told us that we needed to use an out of network contractor, so after a little research we choose to go with Cool Down Mechanical Heat and Air LLC. The tech Nate was out the very same day to do a comprehensive estimate that was sent directly to my email. He was professional, friendly, efficient, and made sure I understood the issue completely. My home warranty company, on the other hand, continuously dropped the ball over the next few weeks, moving me in and out of in-network techs and still not approving my out of network contractor. The whole time whatever red tape they could come up with Nate instantly would get me an updated estimate or speak with me over the phone about whatever they would need. After dealing with a disastrous failure with our home warranty company, we were left without air for two months--some of it during days where the heat index peaked over 112 degrees. Finally having enough I called Nate back and decided we would take care of it through their company, and not the home warranty company. Even though this issue had nothing to do with their company, Nate treated the issue with urgency, ordering the part as soon as the same day. Less then two days later he was back out, our air is fixed, and tonight for the first time in two months I'll be able to sleep in my bedroom without dripping sweat. As just baseline temps are set to reach over 100 degrees without heat index this weekend, I am incredibly grateful. Nate and his company have fantastic communication, are knowledgeable, efficient, and are fairly priced. After the fantastic job that this company has done, I'll not be using anyone else in the future for my heat and air needs.
