My young Cavapoo pup, Ellie, is very sensitive and found going to any groomer very stressful , that is until she met Vanessa at Va Va Groom . After an initial meet and greet session where Ellie was able to meet Vanessa, and I could discuss concerns , Ellie has been going for a regular monthly groom . I see her confidence grow with every session and Ellie is obviously very comfortable being left with Vanessa . She greets Vanessa very enthusiastically and goes with her with her tail wagging . I would highly recommend Vanessa to anyone wanting their dog to have positive grooming experiences without fear or trepidation . An added bonus is that Ellie comes back looking beautiful ! Less

I have two nervous and sensitive little schnauzers, who have had quite stressful previous experiences with groomers. I’ve moved around various groomers and, not through any fault of the groomers, they have remained quite upset by the experience. Once they knew where they were, they refused to go in. Vanessa was recommended to me by Dog Confidence trainer Vickie and we went for a meet and treat session. Having that first positive experience was vital, and they have been three times now. Each time, I’ve been pulled towards the door and they aren’t bothered when I leave them. Vanessa has really taken the time to get to know their individual personalities and recognises exactly what they need with holistic techniques. The most nervous boy has come on leaps and bounds and is happy to be brushed at home now which was impossible before. Vanessa is a very caring and accomplished groomer. My dog Freya is very nervous and being a rescue was not socialised as a puppy. However Vanessa took the time to get to get to know Freya and I and ensure Freya felt comfortable with the grooming process. We usually need to tranquilize Freya before grooming, but Freya is actually excited to visit Vanessa. I would highly recommend Vanessa. Less

Luca and Jackson visited for a meet and treat (highly successful!!) and their first groom today. These two little boys are extreme opposites of a happiness spectrum - Jackson is a nervous sensitive little boy and Luca is crazy happy. They have both struggled in the past with grooming and used to freeze in fear. But I could see they were so happy and comfortable in this environment, it really helped to meet Vanessa first, and of course they look amazing too! When I used to take them to the groomers they would both collapse and sleep all day probably from pure adrenaline but I’m sat with them now and they’re playing and gnawing happily on their yak chews. They were both really affectionate with her before we left so I can tell they are happy and had a wonderful experience! Vanessa puts their needs first and understands their behaviours! Our Chow Chow, Teddy has previously found grooming stressful, he does not like the noise of the hair dryers. We have found that other groomers, who take a conventional approach of leashing him and going about a groom in a functional manner, have left him highly stressed. From the outset, Vanessa took a calm and caring approach. She took the time to meet us and Teddy, so that he became used to her and the environment. She is a holistic groomer, who adapts her approach to the animals welfare and needs. She groomed Teddy today, did an excellent job, and we would highly recommend her personalised and professional service. Finally found the right groomer for Teddy. Less

We wouldn’t go anywhere else now! Vanessa is absolutely amazing with our cocker spaniel Millie! Millie never used to enjoy having a groom at previous grooming salons, but Vanessa is always so patient and caring with her! She makes her grooms fun with games, puzzles and treats! Her salon has a beautiful outdoor area for Millie to play and enjoy herself whilst being groomed. She has taken the time to build Millie’s trust and make sure she feels happy and comfortable.
