When our previous groomer said she can no longer groom my reactive dog I was devastated and didn’t know what to do. After googling I found Vanessa and booked a phone call appointment. Her set up is clearly designed to help those dogs that need more work with the grooming process and the fact she doesn’t use restraints and takes it at the dogs pace means she managed to groom my dog twice now without any snapping which became impossible for the previous groomer. She is great at reading the dogs body language and letting them become comfortable and learn to trust which has made such a difference already and it’s only very early days. Honestly can’t recommend her enough.

We took our dog to Vanessa to have his nails clipped. She made him feel comfortable while carrying out the procedure with great care in a professional and friendly manner. Thank you Vanessa for fitting us in at short notice.

My dog Patch has never been to a groomer before but he's had some skin issues and I had heard about Vanessa and wanted to work with her as he can be a bit nervous. Vanessa did a brilliant job of making him feel so settled and at home with a meet a treat, she helped me understand how to better care for his skin and it was such a lovely experience for him. He can't wait to go back!

Vanessa has made incredible progress with our nervous rescue within just a couple of visits. After an initial meet and treat, she had her first grooming appointment where she was able to make more progress than we anticipated. Best of all, when we arrived to collect our girl she was so relaxed enjoying a potter around the garden, it was a joy to see. Vanessa is highly experienced and is working wonders - we wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend!

Vanessa has been amazing with Finn, he has improved so much with her. Mostly due to her patience and understanding his body language and not pushing him. Week one we couldn't even get a hand on him, now he goes straight in for cuddles. I'm so pleased with how far he has come. He has been allowed to go at his own pace and that's very important for him. Vanessa actually cares about the dogs she looks after, it's not just a money making production line. I couldn't imagine ever taking Finn anywhere else now. Thank you for caring about him and loving him

No place better to take your beloved pet. Our JRT, awkward being his middle name when it comes to claw clipping, Vanessa is so good with him he’s a different dog. Can’t recommend enough!.

My young Cavapoo pup, Ellie, is very sensitive and found going to any groomer very stressful , that is until she met Vanessa at Va Va Groom . After an initial meet and greet session where Ellie was able to meet Vanessa, and I could discuss concerns , Ellie has been going for a regular monthly groom . I see her confidence grow with every session and Ellie is obviously very comfortable being left with Vanessa . She greets Vanessa very enthusiastically and goes with her with her tail wagging . I would highly recommend Vanessa to anyone wanting their dog to have positive grooming experiences without fear or trepidation . An added bonus is that Ellie comes back looking beautiful !

I have two nervous and sensitive little schnauzers, who have had quite stressful previous experiences with groomers. I’ve moved around various groomers and, not through any fault of the groomers, they have remained quite upset by the experience. Once they knew where they were, they refused to go in. Vanessa was recommended to me by Dog Confidence trainer Vickie and we went for a meet and treat session. Having that first positive experience was vital, and they have been three times now. Each time, I’ve been pulled towards the door and they aren’t bothered when I leave them. Vanessa has really taken the time to get to know their individual personalities and recognises exactly what they need with holistic techniques. The most nervous boy has come on leaps and bounds and is happy to be brushed at home now which was impossible before. I can quite confidently say their experience with groomers has been completely changed and they’re so happy now. Thank you Vanessa for restoring our faith x

Vanessa has been amazing with Milo, he’d had terrible experiences with other groomers which left him extremely scared going to any groomer. Since we have been going to Va Va Groom, off a recommendation, Milo’s come along so much and trusts Vanessa entirely now. Vanessa is so knowledgable, patient and kind with Milo, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you Vanessa! 🐶
