I cannot recommend DPD highly enough! They’ve been walking my mini-dachshund, Luna, since I moved to the area in 2018. I was impressed from the start with the personalized support Kevin offers, and the company is very professional. They communicate well, take great care of Luna (she’s pretty high maintenance and has some special needs, which has never been an issue for them), and they’re always kind and flexible when my work schedule shifts. It’s such a gift to have people I trust who take care of Luna. The message and photos I get from her walker is the highlight of my day when I’m in the office! Anytime someone asks I send them to DPD, so if you’re wondering, yes - the service and support they offer are worth every penny.

We’ve been using Downtown Pittsburgh Dogs for almost five years and couldn’t be happier. Our cats, Chauncey and Caesar, absolutely adore them. The informative messages and photos we receive while traveling really reduce our stress, the sitters know us and our cats from past visits, and their app is incredibly easy to use. Highly recommend!

We have used Downtown Pittsburgh Dogs for a few years, and they have always been excellent. We have three cats, and originally hired DPD just so we could have someone give the cats some food and clean their litter when we go away (for long weekends or extended vacations). But they go above and beyond the basic service. Every time they come, we get a handful of cute pictures of our happy cats being played with and loved on, and we always come back to happy healthy pets. DPD is great at what they do, and I would recommend them for any cat family.

I've been a DPD client since 2022. I have nothing but glowing things to say about Kevin, the company, and all of great team members who have cared for my two cats, Mia and Echo, over the years. It means so much to me, to know that my kitties will be safe, fed, and given cuddles and play time when my fiancee and I go out of town. After every visit I get a service report - with photos and a nice note - via the app. The service costs more than having a friend or neighbor kid stop by, but the peace of mind is worth every penny - and then some. I know that my kitties are in the hands of kind, caring, and dedicated people who love animals as much as I do. Because there is a team, too, I know that if the person who's assigned to care for my cats has an emergency of some kind, there are other team members who will make sure my cats are taken care of.
