I would love to give 5 stars, but unfortunately, my experience was more of a 3 star, particularly for the high price tag.I'll start with the good: The location is lovely, quiet and restful, and having a bathtub in the glass room was wonderful. The food was delicious (vegan), and I appreciated the supplements to help with detox and sleep. The view from the bedroom is beautiful and I definitely slept well. The spa treatments by Whitney were WONDERFUL and were definitely the highlight of my 3-day stay.Now to the not so good: The owner never once referred to me by name, even at arrival (I was the only guest at the time, so shouldn't have been difficult to remember!) :) It had me feeling more like a number than a guest, to be honest. The bush walks that were advertised were essentially walking up the long, unpaved driveway. Lovely, but not really a bush walk. During the morning guided meditation, the owner kept bringing up politics, which did not lead to a very relaxing meditation experience, so that was a bit disappointing (and my bad for not speaking up). I was told explicitly upon arrival not to rub makeup off on the towels (I didn't bring makeup with me, so that was easy). However, the towels and robe in my room were stained from someone else's make up, and the room wasn't as clean as I would have expected for the hefty price tag.All in all, while some of the stay was lovely and there were definitely things to appreciate, I would probably not do this retreat again (especially for the price) and probably would not recommend it to others other than the treatments from Whitney, which were fabulous (or at least go in with realistic expectations)!
