If you want to learn Salsa, this studio is the top choice in Philly! I learned more in the intro 4-week course here than I did in 12 weeks at another studio. The teaching is excellent: clear and with a logical progression, while also being fun, creative, and light-hearted. The instructors are dedicated to teaching people how to dance out in the city, not just in a studio to the same songs, and they are always helpful with particular questions or issues. I love that in class we actually dance and sweat and work on moves, not just standing around or doing boring basic footwork. I just signed up for my 4th cycle, I am hooked and I’m so excited to keep learning at LCLD!

Instructors are enthusiastic, fun, and they took it at a good pace for beginners (like me). I really like that the first half of class is focused on getting the feeling of the pulse and getting in touch with our body. we revisit fundamentals learned in last class before adding anything new. Instructors are always available to help and support. I’m having a blast!!

I’m taking the beginner’s class at Laurel and I absolutely love it! All of the instructors are wonderful, patient, encouraging, fun, and genuinely kind. Even though it’s a group class, they really take the time to give everyone individual attention and helpful feedback, which makes such a difference when you’re learning.I actually look forward to this class all week! I’ve had such a great experience and am so excited to keep learning and improving. I would definitely recommend Laurel Dance Studio to anyone who wants to learn in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment. I'm definitely signing up for more classes.
