I had a 1-1 with Becca. I was beginning to think I would have a constantly pulling no recall anxious dog. I felt I had failed her as an owner. She was so positive, pulled it back into perspective & gave me confidence that I can help her .Our next steps are small & achievable so we can practice while looking forward to our next session. We also enjoy the guided walks at Cawston, friendly & great for encouraging neutrality around multiple other dogs in a different place to our normal walks. So grateful to have found BeccaAn update to this,we’ve come so far with Becca’s help . With the basics nailed I wanted to progress to safe reliable off lead freedom. Kenzie is a dog who very much got in her head when she was overexcited or there was something exciting to see, to the point where she wouldn’t hear me call her, she would wander back in her own time but still be in her head not listening. We tried all sorts of delicious treats, she still wasn’t reliable enough to be safe near a road. We’re using an e collar with Becca’s support, absolute game changer, giving Kenzie a little reminder when she needs it, rarely now as she has good verbal recall. She has the freedom I’ve always wanted for her and I have the confidence to give it to her. Even recalled from a potential deer chase! I know e collars get a bad rap but as a supportive tool with the right training,it’s opened my dog’s world.
