I am so very disappointed in this salon. I took my daughter to get a silk press, which was fine as far as how it looked but her hair was severely burned...the burnt smell stayed in her hair even after it was washed. Her hair is severely heat damaged. My daughter had beautiful thick curly hair and now it has ZERO curl pattern. I dont know what they did to my baby hair but it is completely ruined. I am so upset about this and so is she because she wears her hair curly most of the time. NEVER AGAIN!!! I dont know what they did to her hair, but whatever it was dont do it to anyone else. She wanted her hair straightened one time not all the time. So mad!!! 🤬🤯Now I don't know what to donto fix it!!! 😭😭I was told they put something in the conditioner to make it easier for them to deal with when people have thick hair like my daughter's. No one asked them to do that!!! Or she didn't use heat protectant, but something went terribly WRONG!

If 0 stars was a choice, I’d give it. I am a natural hair girl and my curls are always tight. After going almost 2 weeks ago, I discovered after washing my hair that my curls were a lot looser. I’m pissed!!! After doing some research, a texturized was definitely put in my hair as it’s easy to sneak in because it doesn’t burn like a perm would. The goal is to make their job easier and take away the beauty of natural curls. Not okay!!! Thanks for nothing! 😒

All this post talking about their curly hair got ruined after getting silk press 🙄🙄 don't come to a Dominican salons if you don't know how Dominicans take care of their hair if you don't want to damage your curly hair you have to use rollers and dry your hair that way two hours minimum depending on your hair length silk press for special occasions rollers otherwise. You want a silk press every week and expect no changes on your curly hair then you come here and complain about people being rude because they speak Spanish but you went to a Dominican salon we speak Spanish in Dominican Republic. If we laughing it doesn't have to be about you they just met you; tip, You aren't that important take the paranoia down to zero.

Everyone here is very nice, and I truly appreciated that part of the experience. My concern is that when I visited, my hair was very full and long, nearly waist-length. After having my hair done once, my texture changed. Now, when I wash it, my hair dries almost bone straight.At first, I thought the change might be temporary, possibly caused by a keratin-based shampoo. However, I’ve since tried Olaplex and K18, and my hair still has not reverted to its natural texture. For additional context I have had my hair straightened hundreds of times and this has never happened.

Like any traditional walk-in experience, be prepared to spend some time there rather than expecting to be in and out—but they were still very efficient and moved quickly. The salon environment is clean, welcoming, and beautiful. My silk press came out amazing. Just keep in mind, services don’t cost $50—they start at $50. I would definitely return!
