I had a lot of anxiety with having them cut down trees so close to my home, fence, and neighbors properties but they were very efficient and professional. They cleaned up after the job and put my fence back, and took the cost of my broken fence piece off of the total which I appreciate. I was amazed by the man who climbed the trees, truly. After receiving an estimate from this company I agreed to contract them to remove a very large, old tree that was dropping limbs in my backyard. Initially I was impressed with the professionalism that was presented to me. After we agreed on a date, I received several "friendly reminders" from the company. On the agreed upon day I received a text around 730 a.m. confirming the arrival time which was 9 a.m. Around 10 a.m. I started to get concerned because the crew had not arrived yet. At approximately 11:15 I called Will, the contact person who I had been communicating with but the call went to his voicemail. I decided to call another telephone number listed on the website and spoke with Mike. He advised me that my appointment had been cancelled because rain was predicted. He was apologetic and offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. I was shocked that someone would drop the ball and not notify me of the cancellation. I too had been watching the news for days up to the scheduled tree removal and all local news channel and the Weather Channel reported that rain and storms were expected AFTER 8 pm. I missed out on a very important family event because I was expecting to have the tree removed. If I had been properly notified when they decided to cancel my appointment I could have gone to the event. Going forward, I hope that they will put checks and balances in place to prevent mistakes like this from happening. What if I had taken off from work? After LTD's no call/no show I called another company that I had received an estimate from. They came to my home the next day and cut down and removed the tree. I guess everything happens for a reason.***EDITED RESPONSE: I read the owners response and I totally agree that the safety of his staff has priority of all work. UPDATE: After seeing this review, Life's Tree Doctor reached out to me and made arrangements to pay for the damages caused by their equipment. Payment has been sent.Life’s Tree Doctor takes advantage of your emotional distress from surviving a natural disaster by straight up lying to your face and not standing on their word. Do not believe them when they say “We bill directly to insurance and you’ll probably never hear from us again” because they will most certainly take legal action against you when your insurance doesn’t immediately pay them. The crew arrived and worked all day. They ruined my yard and busted and crushed a sewer access line in the process. They told me they would tarp my house. They said they ran out of tarps and asked me to go buy tarps and they would reimburse me and tarp my house. I did just that. I paid nearly $300 in tarps that they never put on my house, and they left for the next job later that day and said they’d come back to tarp it with their bucket truck. They remained in my town for at least a week. I called them multiple times to come tarp my house and they never did. I gave up after they never included it on the write up of the work agreement and I ended up returning the tarps. I didn’t hear from the tree company until they explained that they were never paid. I never received a copy of the $31,000 invoice (removal of four trees on a house) until after I had to make multiple phone calls to ask for a copy. My insurance company and Life’s Tree Doctor battled it out. Even after I have complied with all of the requests of Life’s Tree Doctor, updating them on my insurance situation, and even defending them to my insurance company and locals who thought their invoice was too expensive, one of the owners near about yelled at me on the phone about how my insurance company was going to pay for the complete bill. Granted, I understood that they were aggravated for not being paid but I still thought it was very unprofessional to be almost yelling about taking legal action against me as a “scare tactic” to my insurance. I also brought it to the attention of Life’s Tree Doctors about the damage their crane or skid steer caused to my sewer line, and at that point, I was told “I don’t have a problem paying for a $900 repair. Send in the pictures and a quote for the repair and I’ll send it to the owner and have him call you.” I never once spoke to Tony, the owner, about the sewer line damage. The crew put them on the other side of the damaged fence. The logs are too heavy to move without equipment and remain on our property. The crew lied about what they accomplished.Multiple calls were made to the office in GA by us and by our son with no resolution or follow-up. Taking advantage of people not being here and charging $5400 to throw tree trunks in our own yard because we were not here to supervise is not cool!Now we have to pay another company when we care able to do the work. During the tree removal process, my driveway was damaged in 2 places. Tony (co-owner of Life's Tree Doctor) hired a person to repair both areas on my driveway, and this work was performed on around the weekend of June 20th, 2020. On both se... More

Look elsewhere and do your research before you use this company. On June 16, 2020, I hired Life's Tree Doctor LLC to remove a large oak tree from my property. During the tree removal process, my driveway was damaged in 2 places. Tony (co-owner of Life's Tree Doctor) hired a person to repair both areas on my driveway, and this work was performed on around the weekend of June 20th, 2020. On both sections of the driveway, the repairs were not completed correctly. On the lower portion of the driveway where most of the damage occurred, the repair person applied a thin cement patch along the crack caused by the tree removal. The patch quickly wore off, and the cement that was applied washed away in subsequent storms between June 20, through about July 3, 2020. Since this repair wasn't done correctly, the driveway was further damaged as the original crack spread, likely due to water seeping through the crack, causing it to expand. The driveway now has 2 additional cracks stemming from the original damage that was caused by the tree removal.The upper portion of the driveway was cracked by a bobcat tractor that was used to haul debris from our yard to their truck. The same person that Tony hired to repair the lower portion of the driveway also attempted to fix the upper portion of the driveway two different times - but the result each time left that section of the driveway with an appearance that the repair wasn't done correctly - as the cement is full of bubbles - caused by rain. The repair person didn't cover the repaired area. As such, the cement was ruined by the rain the same day the last repair attempt was made.I spoke with Tony from Life's Tree Doctor twice after the last repairs were made, and asked him, or someone to come back out and fix the repairs. Tony said he would come out in person on Saturday, July 18th to fix part of the driveway. He never showed up. I was out of town from July 18 to Aug 7, and I spoke to Tony one more time on August 8th, and asked him to file a claim through his insurance company - as being insured, it seemed best to work through his insurance to get the repairs done properly. On that day, Tony informed me he would call his insurance company the next day, Friday, Aug 8. That was the last time I spoke with Tony.On Monday, Sept 28, I emailed Tony an estimate to get my driveway fixed, and he replied back via text and said that “he already sent someone out to fix my driveway” and that he could “never make me happy.” His opinion and logic aside, Tony has still venimently denied to either let me work through his insurance company – much less provide me with, or acknowledge that he has insurance. This raises serious questions around his professionalism – and is a red flag in regards if he’s truly insured at all. Perhaps this explains why he hired an amateur to “fix” my driveway? Regardless, no one would be happy with repairs that actually look worse than the original damage. Completely unacceptable.If you decide to hire this company, make sure to:1. Get EVERYTHING in writing. This needs to include dates and dollar amounts. Tony does accept credit cards. However, after my tree was already on the ground, he wanted another 3% tacked on to process the card payment – so I just wrote him a check.2. Take pictures of your property before and after you have the work done.3. Don’t pay in full until you’re absolutely 100% satisfied with the work, or any repairs that were done. I made the mistake of paying in full assuming Tony would finish the repairs, but he’s pretty much ghosted me ever since. Just be careful. Less

He eventually sent someone to my house at 8 pm and they took 1 of 2 structures down.After my various attempts to get them to complete the job for which they were paid in full I had to hire another person to finish the original job.Very unprofessional. If a job was too much for this company they should be honest and forthright and tell you this before taking your hard earned money.I do not recommend them at all. I have never left a bad review for a company before but feel fellow customers need to know what they are getting themselves into. Less

We discussed other work needed and I will be using Tony again for my backyard and other trees around my property. He's my go-to and I have already recommended him to a good friend of mine.
