SwiftHand Painting

We hired this company to paint our living room, stairwell, and upstairs hallway. We were told it would be a two day job and that scaffolding would be required. Everything leading up to the job went well. The first day, the painter did a fine job patching holes and getting ready to paint. The second day is when everything went wrong. I was randomly in the kitchen and saw the painter attempt to climb the scaffolding and watch it fall over (thankfully the painter was not hurt). However, the fall spilled gallons of paint all over our floor, and rug and the equipment landed on our mantle and couch, and the wheels made holes in the other wall. My husband and I had to work with the painter to get the scaffolding off our belongings and standing again. Over $200 in merchandise was ruined because of the paint (a primary reason we hired painters was to not deal with the mess). I overheard the painter on the phone with his manager and he minimized the entire situation. I eventually got ahold of a manager and he came out to check things out. He attempted to stabilize the mantel with some degree of success. Mind you in doing so, he created more marks on the walls where his painter had previously painted. And his co-worker was quick to say the marks were already there! The manager assured me this has never happened before, but I've yet to receive any compensation for this absolute headache that lasted four painful, messy days. I'd say look elsewhere for painters.
