My husband was looking for some individual guidance in terms of fitness training. We have a lot of fitness equipment in our home gym but over the past 18 years I’ve stuck to a routine with free weights, resistance bands and cardio, following a consistent exercise routine. I kept this routine and ate healthy, but something changed. Peri menopause hit and my weight started to creep up. The “middle age spread” is real 😩. I have a lower back issue so this is an issue for me. My husband came home from his personal training session at 360 Fitness and said, “You might want to try the 6 week challenge”. The consult was free, and if you decide to proceed you get personalized training 3 - 30 min sessions each week. Most importantly, your trainer creates workouts that are individualized based on your body, any health concerns, your goals and a nutrition program to achieve your goal. I am so glad I did. I learned that I wasn’t eating enough protein. I also learned how to use the exercise equipment in the gym and corrected my form on exercises I had been doing on my own at home over the years. I focused on nutrition and increasing my protein along with my 3 sessions a week at 360 Fitness. I continued walking the dog and doing cardio twice a week at home. I’m so glad I found the answers to my personal struggles.A big thank you to my husband (for making the suggestion) and to all the personal trainers and support staff at 360 Fitness! My personal trainer was Nasiyr, a big thank you for his support. I also worked with Lara, Kaleb, Justin and Morgan. Crystal led an information session on Menopause with a group of ladies who train at 360 Fitness. So informative and how nice to share her knowledge and provide the opportunity for women to support one another in their struggles with this change in life. I don’t know of any other gyms that provide these services at no additional charge for their gym members. What a wonderful community at 360 Fitness. No intimidation, no “meat market”, a very supportive atmosphere.Now with a home gym I’m looking forward to other 360 Fitness programs, so many options including virtual training. I encourage everyone to check them out. It’s not like any other gym that I know of.
