Coach James is absolutely wonderful! We have been with him for two years, and the progress both of my children have made is incredible. My three-year-old is already floating on his back after just five lessons, and my seven-year-old is now confidently swimming across Olympic-size pools thanks to him!Coach James is extremely patient, encouraging, and knows exactly how to work with each child based on their age and ability. He has his own facility, but since we have a pool, he conveniently comes to our home for private lessons. We highly recommend Coach James to any family looking for an amazing swim instructor!

Amazing swim program. My 9 year old daughter was just becoming comfortable in the water prior to starting instruction. One month in Texas two sessions a week and she is now a fish. Her breathing , form and confidence in the water have reached new heights. Two different coaches from the team helped out to accommodate a busy summer schedule. I highly recommend little swimsters. Coach James and his fellow instructors are phenomenal.

My trial lesson was cancelled just a few hours before the lesson by a text message . I was promised a second trial whenever I was able to reschedule. About a week later I get a random phone call about needing to put a card on file for my lesson. Mind you I did not have a lesson scheduled. I inquired why do y'all need a card on file and you owe me two lessons and how do you think it feels telling an excited 7 year old their first lesson was canceled last minute? The question couldn't be answered. The whole conversation would have went completely different if their employee had any customer service skills. Maybe next time instead of calling for my card call and apologize for my first lesson being canceled and then say we are reaching out to see if you are still interested in booking a lesson with us? Don't just call asking for my card. The irony you can call asking for my card but text to tell me my lesson was canceled .

Horrible place. Very unprofessional and disrespectful staff. The lady who answers the phone is very rude, does not know how to speak to clients, nor does she know how to do her job. We were charged extra fees and enquired about it, she was rude and started yelling at me.

He was patient and kind. Also willing to allow my son to try it own his own to build his confidence. Now my son thinks he is the next Michael Phelps!!

We have had our child in swim lessons with James since he was 2 and a half and he is now 5. James and his team of swim instructors are the best! We have referred many of our friends to them as well. We are forever grateful for them teaching our child to swim and be confident in the water. We recommend them to everyone.

We can not say enough about how much we love Little Swimsters. We moved to HTX from out of state last year. Our toddler had already completed Infant Aquatics before the move and was very comfortable with the infant survival-swim (free float and float-swim-float). When we moved to HTX we enrolled her in one of the franchise big group swim lesson establishments. Within weeks she went from being able to jump in and float on her own to being nervous around the water. She refused to float and would cry about not clinging to someone in the water or having inflatable floats on her. It was a significant regression. I found Little Swimsters through a recommendation from a neighbor. We did a test class with Coach James and in just one class you could tell our toddler had a different attitude toward the water. In just 4 classes she was back to floating independently. Just a couple months in she is working on actual swimming! Coach James is so patient with the kids and very clear on expectations and lesson intentions with the parents. All the kids we have seen with him are always excited to see him. This is such a great program and Coach James is amazing! If you are looking for private lessons for your child (or yourself) look no further!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I am disappointed and completely disgusted with this “business” as they are thieves and scammers!! They do not show up to scheduled class times. There is no such thing as a free first class you must first register, pay a fee, and then select a “free” class time. However if they cancel and have no way to teach the class you will just be out of your hard earned money. They do not communicate when classes are cancelled so if you make arrangements and show up and they do not, oh well they don’t care. They are unprofessional, lack business etiquette, and display poor customers. DO NOT waste your money as I and several others have done. Please find a reputable business.

Fantastic! Cannot say enough good things. After a couple years of different stints with my kids at some of the chain swim schools where we saw essentially zero progress, a friend recommended Coach James. He taught our kids in our backyard pool and I was truly amazed at what he was able to do within just a few lessons. My 5 year old and 2 year old began our lessons by hysterically crying because they were afraid of swim lessons and putting their head under water. Coach James was so calm, it was clear he had seen it all, and the crying did not phase him in the least. He would get them to calm down and proceed with a very productive lesson every time. My kids only had one lesson a week which initially had me worried it was not enough, but it was perfect. By the end of the summer my 2 year old would happily put her head fully under water, and my 5 year old was jumping in the pool and swimming back to the side with confidence. Thank you coach James!

James runs a wonderful swim school! Great communication, accommodating class times and wonderful instructors who provide one on one lessons! My only regret is not signing my toddler up sooner. I wasted my money for 9 months at one of the well known swim school chains thinking it was the best option. I was wrong!

What an amazing experience for the kids! James created a safe environment which allowed my kids the opportunity to grow and develop their skills. I would highly recommend Little Swimsters and look forward to next summer. Thanks Coach James!

Outstanding Swim Instructor for Young Kids - Coach James from Little Swimsters I cannot express enough gratitude for Coach James from Little Swimsters. Over the course of two summers, he has worked wonders with my kids, and his expertise has transformed them into confident swimmers. From the very first day, Coach James displayed an extraordinary level of dedication and passion for teaching young children. His ability to engage with my 4-year-old was remarkable, and within just one summer, my child was swimming effortlessly. Witnessing such remarkable progress was truly awe-inspiring, and it instilled a great sense of confidence and joy in my little one. Coach James’ exceptional patience and ability to adapt his teaching approach according to the needs of each child were truly remarkable. I was particularly impressed with his interactions with my 2-year-old. Despite the challenges of teaching such a young child, Coach James never faltered in his commitment to helping my child progress. This summer, at the age of 3, my little one is already displaying tremendous progress, thanks to Coach James’ unwavering support and guidance. What truly sets Coach James apart is his innate ability to earn the trust of young children in the water. He creates a nurturing and comfortable environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. His gentle approach helps them overcome any fears or hesitations, allowing them to develop essential swimming skills while building a strong foundation of trust. I highly recommend him to any parent seeking a caring and skilled swim instructor. Coach James, thank you for giving my children and me so much confidence in their abilities!

We have used Little Swimsters for over a year. We started lessons when my daughter was 1.5 at our home with Mr. Douglas. Now she is 3 and is able to float and swim safely with our supervision. Our next child will soon be starting lessons with little Swimsters. We highly recommend. They are flexible and easily accessible if you have any questions.

Coach James has been working with our 3 year old son for about a month. So far, the experience has been wonderful. From the first lesson, my son was comfortable with Coach James. James’ teaching style is very gentle and warm. He meets the child where they are and is extremely patient. He is also flexible when the child displays a specific interest (i.e. rings first, then float on back). In four lessons (never had a lesson before this), my son can explain the “safe areas” of our pool, climb out of the pool from the side (no steps), hold breath under water for several seconds, swim on stomach with face in water with support, and float on back with minimal support. He loves swimming lessons and cheers when it is time for them. Coach has also given us things to work on with our son throughout the week to reinforce the lessons. We have found this to be very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend 1:1 private lessons with Coach James for your little ones.
