We have had our child in swim lessons with James since he was 2 and a half and he is now 5. James and his team of swim instructors are the best! We have referred many of our friends to them as well. We are forever grateful for them teaching our child to swim and be confident in the water. We recommend them to everyone.

We can not say enough about how much we love Little Swimsters. We moved to HTX from out of state last year. Our toddler had already completed Infant Aquatics before the move and was very comfortable with the infant survival-swim (free float and float-swim-float). When we moved to HTX we enrolled her in one of the franchise big group swim lesson establishments. Within weeks she went from being able to jump in and float on her own to being nervous around the water. She refused to float and would cry about not clinging to someone in the water or having inflatable floats on her. It was a significant regression. I found Little Swimsters through a recommendation from a neighbor. We did a test class with Coach James and in just one class you could tell our toddler had a different attitude toward the water. In just 4 classes she was back to floating independently. Just a couple months in she is working on actual swimming! Coach James is so patient with the kids and very clear on expectations and lesson intentions with the parents. All the kids we have seen with him are always excited to see him. This is such a great program and Coach James is amazing! If you are looking for private lessons for your child (or yourself) look no further!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I am disappointed and completely disgusted with this “business” as they are thieves and scammers!! They do not show up to scheduled class times. There is no such thing as a free first class you must first register, pay a fee, and then select a “free” class time. However if they cancel and have no way to teach the class you will just be out of your hard earned money. They do not communicate when classes are cancelled so if you make arrangements and show up and they do not, oh well they don’t care. They are unprofessional, lack business etiquette, and display poor customers. DO NOT waste your money as I and several others have done. Please find a reputable business.

Fantastic! Cannot say enough good things. After a couple years of different stints with my kids at some of the chain swim schools where we saw essentially zero progress, a friend recommended Coach James. He taught our kids in our backyard pool and I was truly amazed at what he was able to do within just a few lessons. My 5 year old and 2 year old began our lessons by hysterically crying because they were afraid of swim lessons and putting their head under water. Coach James was so calm, it was clear he had seen it all, and the crying did not phase him in the least. He would get them to calm down and proceed with a very productive lesson every time. My kids only had one lesson a week which initially had me worried it was not enough, but it was perfect. By the end of the summer my 2 year old would happily put her head fully under water, and my 5 year old was jumping in the pool and swimming back to the side with confidence. Thank you coach James!

James runs a wonderful swim school! Great communication, accommodating class times and wonderful instructors who provide one on one lessons! My only regret is not signing my toddler up sooner. I wasted my money for 9 months at one of the well known swim school chains thinking it was the best option. I was wrong!

We have used Little Swimsters for over a year. We started lessons when my daughter was 1.5 at our home with Mr. Douglas. Now she is 3 and is able to float and swim safely with our supervision. Our next child will soon be starting lessons with little Swimsters. We highly recommend. They are flexible and easily accessible if you have any questions.

Coach James has been working with our 3 year old son for about a month. So far, the experience has been wonderful. From the first lesson, my son was comfortable with Coach James. James’ teaching style is very gentle and warm. He meets the child where they are and is extremely patient. He is also flexible when the child displays a specific interest (i.e. rings first, then float on back). In four lessons (never had a lesson before this), my son can explain the “safe areas” of our pool, climb out of the pool from the side (no steps), hold breath under water for several seconds, swim on stomach with face in water with support, and float on back with minimal support. He loves swimming lessons and cheers when it is time for them. Coach has also given us things to work on with our son throughout the week to reinforce the lessons. We have found this to be very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend 1:1 private lessons with Coach James for your little ones.

Our girls enjoy the lessons with coach James, and they have made good progress in their swimming. There have been a couple of scheduling and accounting conflicts, but the company has always responded accordingly. Good swimming coach for kids.
