I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this academy. The coaches are thoughtful through their training and push the kids with encouragement and enthusiasm. We are very happy with our choice to be at this academy.

I cant recommend these guys enough.My kids have attended other academies but it seems like this is the place that they finally started to fall in love with jiu jitsu. Coach Cam and coach Lyndon have the patience, attitude and knowledge to make these kids future competitors and even champions. This place is under Silverback which I also highly recommend for adults. Dont just take my word for it try it out.

I trained at Silverback for approx two years. My coach Sean was a tremendous help to my jiu-jitsu journey and my mental health. I have nothing but respect for him as a professor.Unfortunately, I recently had a serious health concern, a staph infection that required extensive treatment. I'm now off the mats for at least two months recovering.After my experience, I made a general post on Instagram about gym cleanliness and the importance of wearing slides when stepping off the mats. I did not name any specific gym. It was simply an awareness post to help others in the jiu-jitsu community.Shortly after, I received a DM from Cam, one of the coaches here at Silverback/HYR grappling. He didn't ask how I was doing. He didn't wish me a speedy recovery. Instead, he was condescending, called me a clown, and cursed me out.I'm sharing this because I believe people should be aware of how members are treated here.

My 13-year-old son has been training with Coach Lyndon for both jiu jitsu and strength training, and the progress has been incredible. His jiu jitsu skills have improved tremendously, and he’s also gotten much stronger physically. What stands out most about Coach Lyndon is his patience, motivation, and discipline. He really knows how to connect with young athletes while also challenging them to grow. He manages to be both professional and family-oriented, creating a training environment that’s supportive, encouraging, and effective. We couldn’t be happier with the positive impact he’s had on my son.

I've known Lyndon for years now. My son has attended camps run by Lyndon and Cam. He loves their style of grappling and teaching. They are both a great instructors! Highly recommend!

Coach Lyndon is great! He really knows how to work with kids, making it fun while helping them learn and improve. He’s professional and genuinely cares about their progress. I definitely recommend signing up - you won’t regret it!
