I wanted that pic to create a lust for me in a way I don’t get to express everyday... I was nervous...who wouldn’t be? Nervousness was short lived. In 10 seconds of being at her studio, I was giggling and getting my beauty on! It is a very safe and relaxing place. She instructed me and demonstrated poses. She explained what she was after and was super supportive. Very collaborative. She really wants a great photo. We experimented with poses and not all worked. I love that she is inspired and wanted it to be communicated in the photograph. If it didn’t work we giggled about it and moved on. I’m not going to lie, when she showed me the selection, I cried. It was amazing to see a side of me from a totally different view point. What started out as a bet I lost on a hockey game, morphed into an emancipation from a negative self-image that I hadn’t divorced when I got a divorce. I have to say the images she created were powerful enough to forever change the way I viewed myself. Boudoir pictures are a wonderful investment, my only advice is to really look at the photographs and ask “are these powerful and connected?” (as if you’re there with her; sharing a secret and special part of her) or are they “just a photo?” You’re never going to get “just a photo” with Boudoir Betty...
