From my initial online inquiry, Lilly was very accommodating when scheduling our introductory tour and took the time time to answer all of our questions and was genuinely interested in what drew us to look into BJJ. She was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through all the membership options in detail, making the entire process smooth and easy to understand. What really stood out was the excellent communication and follow-up after we joined—they checked in often to see how everything was going, which shows how much they care about their members.The coaches are just as impressive. We have had the privilege to train under Coach Daniel, Coach Igor and Coach Dale in our first month. They’re patient, supportive, and do a fantastic job breaking things down into simple, easy-to-understand steps, especially for beginners like us. You never feel rushed or overwhelmed, and they create a welcoming environment where you can learn at your own pace.I also want to touch on the inviting culture as well. From fellow beginners to highly experienced members, everyone we have encountered has been very nice and they all have the same goal to not only get better individually but also to help others improve. Seeing my son's confidence grow is what I am most grateful for and that would not be possible without the support of the entire Pinnacle family.Overall, it’s a great place to train, whether you’re new or looking to improve your skills. Since joining Pinnacle with my daughter, it hasn’t been anything short of an awesome experience for both of us. The team is welcoming and the coaches there genuinely want and work to see you improve.It’s been great watching my daughter build confidence, get stronger mentally and physically, make new friends, and having fun rolling. For me, it has been just as rewarding. Everyone is patient, helpful, and takes the time to walk you through things so you actually understand what you’re doing.We started with a plan for the family, and it was such a great fit that continuing was an easy decision. It’s a solid group of people that push you in to be better and I always look forward to the next class.

I am born and raised in San Antonio, I’m just stationed in San Diego by the Marine Corps. I am visiting family in SA, and I didn’t want to stop my training completely for the week I will be here, so my wife and I stopped by pinnacle for a 12 o clock class. The whole interaction was so unprofessional, the desk operator was not there, even though one of their couches was there, so the coach made me go on the phone to talk to this manager for like 15 minutes. There was only 5 other people in our class, which I understand since it was midday on a Monday. I just believe that the owners are greedy to be able to justify this being $30 per person for an hour class. That is completely ridiculously priced. I’ve gone to many gyms over the years, being stationed different places by the military, and this is price gauging at its finest. BTW their week pass was $50, not so bad, I don’t understand the $30 figure.Edit: Reply response, the issue is completely managerial, the couch seemed to be a nice person and did really well instructing, it was definitely welcoming. I would not recommend travelers come to this business, as they do not have any set in stone way of treating travelers. Most places I’ve been to do not even charge newcomers or travelers, unless they are top schools in San Diego county, which charge about $25, not the inflated $50 figure this company just said they charge in CA.

I’ve been training with Daniel for almost 3 years now, and the difference in environment and coaching compared to other gyms I’ve experienced has been night and day. After coming from Dominion MMA where, in my personal opinion, the atmosphere and quality of training is not there finding Daniel’s gym was great. A well known MMA coach in Savannah, GA pointed me toward his gymThe environment here is welcoming, family-oriented, and truly feels like a place where everyone wants to see each other improve. Daniel is knowledgeable and takes the time to actually coach and develop his students, and genuinely care about your progress. Whether you’re looking to start MMA or Jiu-Jitsu for the first time or take your skills to the next level, I highly recommend this gym. I appreciate the help. 🫡

We gave Pinnacle MMA a try because of a trial class for our toddler. It is out of our way (30-45 minute drive from where we live), so we didnt really expect much. We just wanted to see if my toddler would want to do it and in short it lets just say it was a disaster considering that she didnt even want to step foot on the mat. Luckily Lilly helped us out by offering another trial run the very next week and now 2 months in my baby girl is showing so much interest inside and out of the gym so much so that we decided to sign her up for a whole year!All the coaches she been taught by are very knowledgeable and have such patience with the kiddos!I definitely am recommending to all my friends and family!

A while back I wanted to challenge myself by doing something that was completely out of my comfort zone. I landed on doing mixed martial arts training and I couldn’t be happier than I picked Pinnacle MMA as my dojo. And just a short time I learned a lot, got in fantastic shape and made some great friends. Coach Daniel for BJJ and striking and Roberto with Muay Thai are friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you want to be a professional fighter, learn some techniques to defend yourself, or just have a great work out with some incredible people this is the place to do it.
