We were very fortunate to have K2 Homes, led by Glenn, doing the renovations of our Edwardian 'cottage' in Sandringham during 2025 and 2026. Throughout the process, the K2 Homes team were always available to be contacted and had regular meetings with us on-site. The quality of the work is very high indeed.The following particular points we want to make (in no particular order)1. The team is always courteous, respectful and responsive. This was commented on also by our neighbours.2. K2 Homes uses a very skilled team of tradies.3. Very clear/good communication – scope of work, weekly reports and updates.4. Easy to access. If unable to contact Glenn immediately, he always gets back to us.5. Follows up on all our concerns or areas that need attention.6. Took care of a building permit issue during the project which would have been a big headache for us.7. Flexible and extended the project time to accommodate for our time away. Glenn was always very clear about timing and there were no unexpected delays.8. The project was entirely within quote, but Glenn was also very flexible when we wanted to make changes that led to small cost changes, and made it completely clear what those costs would be.9. Post-completion, he was very happy to follow-up on our concerns.10. Will have 3 monthly follow-up post renovation.In summary, we are very pleased with the work that has been done.

We were referred to Glenn Johnson, K2 Homes, by our Interior Decorator, who was very capable and trustworthy. From the outset we were very comfortable with Glenn and respected his manner and professionalism. That has only been enhanced through the seven months of our renovation. Glenn communicates very well. He provides a weekly, comprehensive written report. Plus regular communication by phone and text. He has a high level of professional skill, gained over a long time in the industry. And he sets very high standards. Glenn is a very trustworthy and honest person. We considered these essential traits for a builder, given the scale of the project and nature of the relationship. Glenn clearly wanted the house to finish up great, as did we, as we love the house. He is solution oriented. Any problem that arose, as they do with a 100-year-old house, he would be unfazed, and readily find a practical solution. His tradesmen are also very good. Prior to the renovation, we spoke to someone who Glenn did a renovation for and they allowed us to visit their house. They were very positive about Glenn and the renovation outcome. A large renovation is demanding. I can’t speak highly enough about how Glenn managed all aspects of the renovation. He made it as painless as possible. The end result is the house we love, is now more comfortable and looks sensational.

We have been really impressed with the quality of work produced by Glenn and his team. Out of all the builders we spoke to about our project, Glenn was by far the most organised and prepared. He identified errors in the original plan that ultimately saved us money and hassle down the line. We are really delighted we made the decision to go with Glenn, his attention to detail, efficiency and scheduling meant the project ran smoothly and on time. Throughout the build, the site remained neat and tidy, which was incredibly important to us as our family was still living on site. The builders were always respectful and considerate, and Glenn and his team consulted with us every step of the build to address any queries or concerns as they came up. We are thrilled with the finished result. The work is immaculate, it has really changed the way we live in the home, and we can’t recommend K2 highly enough.

Glenn and K2 are an excellent operation in every respect. K2 demonstrated this in the renovation of my 18-year-old bathroom which involved gutting the en suite, toilet and dressing room to remove mold which had entered the inside of the walls. Glenn and his team are all highly skilled at their building work, very professional in their approach and proved to be reliable with their commitment. Thorough safety measure were put in place for mold removal and protection of the surrounding areas of the house during the removal of old building materials, repairing damage, installing high level moisture corrective measures, and updating bathroom features to conform to the latest building standards. Glenn creates realistic expectations by providing knowledgeable advice based on high level standards and experience in what works best. The process of developing the quotation and contract was thorough and timely with each aspect of work clearly described, priced, and presented at a meeting dedicated to the explanation and confirmation of the contract. Glenn’s requests for information and feedback from the customer enable a very clear common understanding of what was wanted, needed and how best to achieve a positive and high-quality outcome. This was not just in the formation of the contract but throughout the renovation process. The Master Builders of Victoria Contract was thoroughly and concisely communicated leaving no doubt as to what was included, the costs, insurance, variation processes and everything that makes a customer feel and know this is a professional builder at work. Glenn has high level communication skills, displaying tact and sincerity. He provided weekly written progress reports, an outline of what was coming up in the following week, when to expect the various trades people and details important for the property owner to know. Glenn closely project managed each step, often being first on site, and especially when a new aspect or trades person was commencing. The payments and invoicing schedule were always on time, up to date and exactly as per the contract. I now have a beautiful, new, quality renovation completed exactly on time.

My project last year consisted of most of my outside walls lined, insulated and reboarded. It included replacements of 4 very large double glazed window areas plus a new door and large window double glazed. This was followed by a complete repaint of the outside of the house and new internal windows.Glenn and his team's approach was professional from start to end; from the setting up of the contract details to the final inspection - with no financial surprises I might add.I have nothing but praise for Glenn and all the team members for their due diligence and integrity. I always knew when they would be on-site and never had problems with loud music and the site was left as clean and tidy as possible each day as well as on the final day.Everyone working on the project was respectful at all times. A well-earned 5 stars K2!

The woodwork around our house was needing substantial repairs. Glenn was absolutely fantastic. He has a great attitude, extraordinary work ethic and the quality of his work is fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a carpenter/ builder.
