After having surgery for a SLAP tear, I assumed the hardest part was behind me. The shoulder healed, but I never truly got my motion back. For years, throwing a ball felt awkward and restricted. I could lift and function day to day, but anything overhead or fast made my shoulder feel tight and unreliable.I went through physical therapy after surgery and again later on, but I always seemed to hit the same ceiling. No matter how much time passed, my shoulder just would not move the way it used to. When I started this program, I was honestly skeptical. I had already “done rehab” before and did not expect much to change years after surgery. What surprised me was how different the approach was. Instead of only focusing on the shoulder itself, we spent a lot of time improving how my shoulder blade moved, especially learning how to let it tilt back properly. Once that started improving, my overhead range increased in ways I had not felt since before surgery. As the weeks went on, throwing motions started to feel smoother instead of forced. We then layered in exercises that were specific to throwing, not generic strengthening, and that made a massive difference. For the first time in years, I can throw a ball without hesitation. No guarding. No tight catching feeling. No fear that something is going to grab or flare up afterward. The biggest win for me is confidence. I am no longer avoiding certain movements or modifying everything “just in case.” I actually trust my shoulder again. This program gave me more than pain relief. It gave me the missing pieces I never received after surgery and a clear plan to keep my shoulder healthy long term.If you have had shoulder surgery and feel like you never fully got your motion or confidence back, this is absolutely worth it.
