I asked for smedium box braids close together in the front. I also stated I didn't want spacey braids or parts. I will like all the braids and parts the same size. I showed the owner the picture. She said yes, it's fine; they can achieve the look. A picture was shown over text message and in person. I sat and got my hair done. I noticed the girl was getting done quickly. No problem. Maybe she just braids fast. My back is facing the mirror, so I can't see anything. So when she finished. I was immediately disappointed. Now the braider did do a great job. The parts were clean and neat. But it wasn't what I asked for. I told the owner. This isn't what I asked for; I showed her the picture again of what I wanted. The braider only used two packs of hair, which is very unusual for smedium box braids. Meaning the braids are very thin and far apart. I have very thick hair. No way I should look bald at the top. The top of my head looked like a gate. The back had bigger parts. (which means all braids and parts are not the same size.) Not wanting to make a scene. Because she had other clients. I paid the money and was very verbal about my issue. I wasn't offered a discount or offered a fix right then because she had someone after me. I texted the owner about my dissatisfaction and was told since I didn't like it. She will do my braids free of charge next time. I agreed. Next time arrives, I make an appointment. I drove to the shop (45-minute drive). And she states she never said that. And she wanted to charge me more than what I paid for the first time. She stated I waited too long to come back. I stated I told you I was going out of town and had no time to come back right away. Why would I have to come back the next day, when you could have done it right the first time or fixed the issue right then and there? I stated she knew the job was incorrect. She stated she said she will give the extensions (hair) for free. I said no, that wasn't discussed. I brought my own. Why would I want free extensions (hair) when the parts were the problem? I paid for braids that are close together. I received spacey parts and braids. She wanted to argue with me even though I had shown her the text messages confirming what was discussed. I end up just leaving because I didn't want to argue. I left without getting my (replacement hairstyle). Waste of time and money. Owner doesn't keep her word. She just wants your money. If there is a problem, it's your fault. She will not fix the issue and still expect full payment.Edit review respond to owner.You have the wrong customer. I got my son cornrows done on Friday.. I am not happy about this .. it cost $100 and I tipped $20 for basic braids only 7 at that …First off one of the braids wasn’t centered and the back of it was not tight enough… and now after 4 days the 2 side braids were loose and lifting .. I will never come back here! Less
