Rod Moore instructs artists of all levels - beginner to advance amateur to professional - and guides them on their art journey. He provides online instruction and in person workshops. His ease in explaining and demonstrating his Moore Method of Painting was what helped me see where I was going wrong. He researches subjects and shares with all. Rod is a great teacher and is very hands on. Regular meet ups and such value for money. I’m in two of Rod’s academies, Learn to Paint and Figure Painting academy. He is constantly learning himself and passes all this on to his students. Oils, acrylics, water mixable oils, watercolour, gouache all are covered. Members are great and very supportive of each other. My happy place.

For the 6 years I have been a member of the Academy, I can only speak highly of the way Rod teaches his simple methods of painting with only 5 colours and maybe 4 brushes. NO need to buy a store full o colours, he teaches you how to mix your own, he teaches all aspects of how to bring a painting to life which in turn gives you the satisfaction of creating your own masterpiece. His coffee chats are informative and enlightening and has a touch of humour throughout interacting with his members. The challenges he puts out periodically tests all of our abilities, whether we are novices or seasoned artists , they are always fun to be a part of :) Ive seen no other artist teach the way he does and can guarantee your first painting with him , will be well worth it.
