I called Pat’s Service thinking my heating system wasn’t working, but he quickly determined everything was functioning properly. He took the time to explain how my gas furnace and cooling system operate and performed a much-needed maintenance tune-up. I appreciate the honest assessment and quality service. We woke up with no heat on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 shortly before the major snowstorm hit us on Sunday. I searched for local HVAC companies in need of a quick response. The result included all the big names you see advertised on TV. After reviewing several options, I worked my way down the list. After reviewing 10 to 12 names, I found PSD Heating and Cooling. I decided to contact PSD Heating and Cooling because of their excellent five-star reviews and their location in the Schwenksville area.I can confirm that the positive feedback I read is entirely accurate. Pat answered my call and arrived at my home within an hour and a half. He clearly explained my options regarding repairing versus replacing my older furnace, diagnosed the issues, and walked me through the necessary corrections.He completed the repairs in under two hours, and our heat was fully restored. Pat is honest, reliable, and provides fair pricing. We are very satisfied with both the repairs and his professional assessment of our situation. Pat has been one of the best things to come into our home since We moved into it back in 2022 with an original unit from 1993. Imagine calling a number you got off google for help and he comes that same day within 2 hours. He is reliable and trustworthy and honest. 4 years living there and we never want to or have to call anyone else. He doesn't break your bank, my wallet is happy when he leaves and even better, he has not once pressured us into changing our original unit even though its usually the same problem when we call him. we plan to change it this up coming year or next as recommended and Pat will be the one we call. I woke up on 1/2/26 with a 60 degree house. It’s just me and my 4 year old daughter. I was given a bunch of suggestions on who to call but something told me to call PSD and so happy I did! Pat was at the house within an hour and 15 of my call to him. And my unit was repaired (thankfully a quick fix) before 230 that same day, and my daughter came home too a warm house. We noticed an issue with our AC unit on Thursday, called Pat on Friday late afternoon and he was out to our house on Saturday morning. PSD was referred to us by our neighbors, and they were spot on— on time, communicative, professional, efficient, polite and reasonable prices. June 21, 2025.I’m writing this second review for Pat.I turned my air conditioning on two days ago for the first time. It ran through the night, but could not lower the temperature much at all. I called Pat at 11:45 AM and he started troubleshooting the unit by 1 PM.This was an actual godsend at the time due to the fact that I was having severe nausea and violently threw up about 10 times in 3 hours. The last thing a person needs when they’re nauseous is to be overheated.In addition, my recent EKG showed that I had a heart attack. I had an echocardiogram done as well. Some abnormalities did show. I'm 58 and not in good aerobic shape. I was too sick to drive anywhere. The fact is I could have had a heart attack if I didn't get my place cooled soon.It turned out to be a pretty common repair. It needed a capacitor, AC refrigerant recharge, as well as some sealant.Pat's work is honest, thorough and high-quality. Most importantly, He treats people with respect and his pricing is as far as any company out there.My heater died last Thursday evening. I spoke with an HVAC pro the next day that had installed a new system for my neighbor a couple years ago. He actually quoted a higher quality unit then the one I currently have (age 21 years). I verified the $6800 out the door price for my one bedroom condo was not only competitive, but below market according to a friend who had his own HVAC company for many years.When I asked him about fixing the unit he said he doesn't really get involved in MacGyvering broken units that are that old. At the same time he tells me that if he installs the new unit it would be his "baby" and he would guarantee it and service it. This completely confused me.I figured instead of MacGyvering it, come out like a Pro and try to fix it like Pat from PSD Heating and Cooling in Schwenksville PA did. I called Pat on Friday morning and he was able to schedule a $75 service visit first thing Saturday morning. He said parts would be additional but that was all.He showed up on time and wore booties although I already had drop cloths laid over my carpet. He diagnosed it immediately as being the fan motor capacitor and he went to his truck to get one. He was done in 15 minutes for only $225 my problem was solved and the heat was on.He said that because I turned off the heat as soon as I smelled a burning smell I likely salvaged the blower motor.The quick math would tell me he saved me $6600. I've already referred him to 2 of my neighbors and he's coming out in 2 days to tune up one of their systems.Quality, honest work is difficult to find. I must say I chose Pat based on internet reviews and the fact that he's not a large company. He's the owner and he came and did the work himself; not some kid a couple years out of trade school.I am extremely grateful for what Pat did for me after just having to replace a fridge and a water heater in the last 2 months.

Im glad I called him to take a look at my system, my heating bill was extremely high all of a sudden and he diagnosed and fixed the issue in no time , and gave me a better understanding of how everything works.

Once again, word of mouth works much better than calling the big companies that bombard everyone with advertising! This is the second time Pat/PSD Heating and Cooling did a great job in getting our older HVAC system working great. The first time was last summer, and then most recently last week. He is always very professional, and very responsive. Both instances, our system was up and running the same day (actually less than a few hours)! He touches base a day or so afterward to see if all is working ok. His prices are very fair and reasonable. (I do look these things up!)
