My 2006 750i had a problem. To say it was smoking was really not quite up to explaining the level of problem I had. I knew this was coming, and after 4 years of ownership, i left the MOT centre with a very red face, as the entire workshop resembled an early 90's nightclub. After a matter of idling for 20-30 seconds, I could rev the engine and produce a smoke screen that James Bond would have been proud of, and now it had put my beautiful motor off the road. Now, I had read there was a kit available to help DIYers recover from this problem, so I rolled up my sleeves, handed over my money, and got down to the job.The tool provided is superb, the level of engineering and precision is immense, and when you spend a few (well, quite a few!) hours under the bonnet, you will end up with an engine that purrs like it should, and produces not so much as a puff of smoke. The key is to make sure you get help from the team, and ask questions. If something seems difficult, or impossible, speak to the team! There is always a trick, or little bit of information that makes the job a LOT easier.I had no end of help, after i struggled a couple of times with things that were a bit tough, and soon was back on the straight and narrow.I can not stress enough the feeling of euphoria that I achieved when i fired up the motor again, and it ran as BMW intended, and its amazing how such a small little part can make such a big difference to an engine.I cannot recommend this tool enough, and I really want to thank you for saving me from a HUGE bill, giving me a huge boost to my mechanical knowledge and confidence, not to mention keeping my Bavarian V8 beast on the road to munch many MANY more miles without embarrassment :DTop tool, top guys, and top result. Thanks!!!
