Shower Doors of Nashville

I recently used Shower Doors of Nashville to install THREE glass door enclosures on my teenager's bathtubs. We were over shower curtains and Shower Doors of Nashville gave us the most reasonable estimate, so we went with them. The guys game out to give me the estimate and take measurements and upon looking at the existing cabinet hardware, asked if I wanted them to try and match the shower door handle to what was existing. Not knowing much about it, I said sure. Thats where *I* partially went wrong. I should have asked to see samples and inspect and approved the handles before I allowed them to be installed. I should not have trusted that they knew what they were doing. They installed GIGANTIC, sharp edge, pointy handles that, within a week of install, all 3 of my kids (ages 13, 16 & 17) have sustained injury from. The handles stick out 4'' into the tub area, they had NO BUSINESS recommending or installing handles that giant and sharp in a small tub enclosure. There is simply NOT enough room for handles that size. Those handles would be great in a primary shower, not a tiny bathtub. The installers had to come back 2 weeks later to install a door that was not cut correctly by the manufacturer (not at all Shower Doors of Nashville's fault), and when the installers were here, I explained the situation with the handles. They were sympathetic and told me they'd have the office call me so we could get the handles swapped out. I was super grateful at their understanding. The install process was very clean, the doors look great, I'm very happy with all that. The office called me within minutes after the door was installed to collect their final payment and told me they'd send me an invoice with options to replace the handles. Ugh. An invoice?! I already paid $4500 for doors, I didn't want to have to spend another $300+++ on handles that weren't even chosen by me!!!! Had I seen these handles, even a photo, I'd of absolutely said no to them. Again, I take responsibility for not asking to see a photo or asking to see handle options but they didn't offer and again, I assumed that they do this all day long, I do this never, so they wouldn't give me bad advice. They are entirely too big for a small bathtub shower enclosure and they absolutely should know better. The woman who handles their business end even admitted to me on the phone that they had another client recently who had the same experience with those handles and asked t swap them for the same reason!!! Yet they're still installing them on people's doors?!?!? After I came to the very quick conclusion that I was screwed on the handle situation, I told her to tell her guys to STOP recommending those handles, CLEARLY they're not working for their customers, if I'm not the only person this happened to! The handles are beautiful, they look beautiful, they're super heavy duty, and whatever they'd be swapping these handles out for, would definitely cost them less than the handles I have which I was totally fine with, yet they refused to swap them, saying they don't "carry stock" on handles. They'd easily be making money by installing these in the future on someone else's primary shower doors, where they belong. Instead, I'm stuck with 3 showers with door handles that my kids regularly run into and have left marks on their arms. This all sounds ridiculously absurd and I'm pissed at myself for even having to write this review in the first place because I'd much rather this situation just have been resolved easily between myself and Shower Doors of Nashville so I could write the glowing review that I would have happily written, had it all gone well, but I want future customers to make sure they choose their handles themselves and not take recommendations from the guys who give the estimates, because you're literally stuck with what they give you or you'll be getting another bill.
