We met several times prior to the main event and went over playlists, features, packages, extras, our “do not play list” and so much freaking more.On a day where you want everything to go right, he was one thing we never had to worry about. I’ve been delaying this review to hopefully get our final photos out but maybe I can update it afterwards so people can see the moment he helped us create.I’ll be the first to say he wasn’t the cheapest, but HANDS DOWN was the best bang for our buck! I was particularly touched by his choice to play a Billy Joel song toward the end of the reception (I even smiled and pointed to him, but I wasn't sure if he noticed that!). It's a favorite of my mom's, and the timing was so perfect that I felt it was a special moment, even if he wasn't aware of its significance. We hired the Simple Dj for our wedding last fall. We couldn't be more appreciative of Danny and his thoroughness throughout the entire process. We were pretty overwhelmed with all of the planning but knowing that such a vital part of our big day was going to be handled by Danny and the Simple Dj put our minds at ease.The day of our wedding we had some issues that threw off the time table. Danny came and helped us not only navigate the delays and keep our guests entertained and up to date but also reassured us that everything would be ok. Which meant the world to my wife and I.As for the reception, I just don't think we could've found a better option than the simple DJ. From the lighting, sound quality, music selection, aesthetics, professionalism, and kindness. Hiring Danny with The Simple DJ was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding!!!!! Three reasons to hire The Simple DJ 1. You want it all and you want it all from one vendor! These ease of having the same person for DJ, photobooth, CUSTOM Photo Booth prints,(which he designed to match our decor) a lighted monogram on the wall, and cold sparks for our first dance was amazing! 2. You want a dance floor that stays full! When Danny asked what music we wanted for the reception we left it up to him, the professional, and he did not disappoint. I got so many compliments from guests about how fun the songs were and how they rolled right into the next one! 3. You want to work with someone kind! Man weddings are stressful, and you truly cannot capture the chaos of the day until you are in it. I do not know how he does it but he maintained a kind and helpful demeanor the entire time and even helped the catering and venue team move tables (while doing his own job), which was really above and beyond! From our very first phone consultation to the last moment Danny was professional, kind, helpful, and truly just amazing at what he does. The portal helped organize all the songs and timing in one place. We didn’t pick our first dance song until 3 hours before, for most DJs I am sure that would be extremely frustrating but Danny was so kind about it and made it all work. When I told him I was too nervous to get on the mic for a speech I had prepared, he recorded an audio for me the day of the wedding and played it so my mom and I could I have could have a special mother daughter dance. The things you don’t even think about, he does! The mics for the ceremony, the music before during and after the ceremony all went off seamlessly. Announcing different things like when it’s time to be seated, releasing tables for dinner, and when shuttles were there, he did it all! I have been to weddings with bad DJs and it truly makes or breaks the experience. If you want to make sure your wedding is amazing and memorable, stop looking and hire the simple DJ now! Less
