I know Vinny because his wife cuts my hair. I had a problem with the reversing valve on my 14 year old heat pump and although I'm very handy and installed my own mini-split in my shop, I wanted a pro to do a completely new system. this work.There are numerous things I like about Vinny and his company, but my favorite is he won't install anything that he would not have in his own house. When he recommend a 17 SEER Trane heat pump, the very same model he was getting ready to install in his house, I said "that's the one I want".Vinny and his helper Greg did the entire job in one day and I was very impressed with the quality of the installation. I'm a marine master technician and a marine and terrestrial electrician and I take great pride in the quality of my work particularly the neatness and look of my work and it was evident Vinny does too.The Trane heat pump has a cover over the fan and that is a must have item in my opinion. The unit is very quiet and has a variable speed fan in the air handler to increase efficiency and I couldn't be happier with the performance.We had previously replaced my Ecobee 1 thermostat, the very first one they made, with the latest Ecobee Premium thermostat and I was having problems with it commanding the AUX mode (electrical heat) in the air handler. Vinny came over and the two of us troubleshooted for a few hours to find the problem. As the problem was electrical in terms of the 24 VAC control board, we were able to put our heads together and finally figured out the problem was the Ecobee thermostat.Vinny said he only installs Honeywell thermostats because they have been making them for over 100 years and he had one on his truck. We installed that one and everything now works perfect with all the advanced variable speed controls, humidifier and comfort settings. It is remotely accessed through the app and is Apple home kit compatible so I can control it with my voice. I just installed a remote sensor and you can have the thermostat determine priority in terms of temperature to different rooms at different times of day or night. It was very easy to set up.I could not be happier with Vinny and his company. Price was very fair and it is very hard to find competent, nice and honest professionals if you live on or around the lake but I found one in Vinny. I had so much fun troubleshooting with him (I know, I am a nerd!) that I volunteered my labor anytime he can use a helper so I can learn from another pro!

Vinnie at Westlake is the complete 100% technically proficient, and fiscally sound professional businessman that I have done business with in the past 20 years.We added a complete and new system to our recently renovated house. Keeping, and repairing the current system for our downstairs only. Vinnie repaired the old system, rerouted it and ensured it continue to provide cool air and heat for years to come.Westlake added a complete HVAC system in our attic to economically service and keep the upper house, (main living area) as cool as we want it. Vinnie, had taken into account the vaulted ceiling, air flow, huge sliding doors, and lots of windows, and made it happen. From design, vent locations, proper air flow and return, ductwork placement, and a quality Trane system, it performs flawlessly.I have to mention He did all of this during the hottest week on lake Norman. The end result is an amazing system that will allow us hang Beef in our house regardless of the outside temps. Brrrrrrr. It gets super cold. We have tons of windows and a 16 sliding door. But the way he designed the air flow is incredible. It actually does exactly what he described. I will never use anyone else for HVAC concerns. Vinnie is the ultimate professional who delivers more than He promises. 100% satisfied with Westlake. Extremely Recommend this company for any residential HVAC issues.
