I have been an avid runner since my early teens. It has always been a part of who I am and it especially helps me with my mood. Plain and simple, when I don’t run, I don’t feel great, so when I sustained an injury a few months ago, I really struggled physically and mentally.
After two months of rest, I knew I had to step way out of my comfort zone and I decided to step into a work out at R3BILT. I hadn’t lifted weights in over 20 years, so to say I was a bit nervous, particularly about working out with a group, was an understatement.
From the second I walked into R3BILT's spacious (and sunlit) space, and was greeted with the most relaxed, happy and helpful people; I knew I could check my apprehension at the door. Everyone there made me feel at home.
Alli has created a space and a strength training program unlike any - she, her staff, the entire R3BILT community, are so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming.
When I had gone to other gyms, I would sometimes find myself bored - going through the motions at times, and I was never eager to work out in groups, however this is not the case at R3BILT. The timing and tempo of their six-week training programs is perfect for me and because of the way they alternate (day 1, 2 and 3), I always feel challenged. Nothing ever feels routine - there really is no way to feel bored with one particular work out. One I understand the technique of each exercise, I'm continually coached by the trainers to challenge myself and add weight and repetition and finally once it it feels effortless, we’re moving onto another six-week program. I can’t believe the results I am already seeing! I’m down ten pounds since January and have even gained some muscle!
I have found such an incredibly supportive and welcoming community at R3BILT and I am so grateful to Alli and Rene - they are both wonderful and have trained me from day one!
