Kinetic Massage Works

Oh my word! I’ve had literally thousands of massages in my lifetime, by probably 100 different therapists, so I have context when I say Stop right now and book an appointment. Seriously, I’ll wait. You good? Well, if not, you’re about to be.Professional, knowledgeable, kind, and talented…yes to all of that. But more than the obvious, I was astounded by how the muscles in my neck and back MELTED while I was there—and stayed that way through the night. And that’s with me only getting a 54 sleep score on Oura (I’m staying away from home right now and my body misses my own bed). Good thing it registered a 30 minute nap during the massage though, ha!That’s the other thing: I’ve had really good massages before where I legit fell asleep at times, and I’d look at the data later and it would show relaxed at the most. I was a fully awake happy puddle during this massage but evidently my Oura doesn’t know what to do with an awake me that relaxed. I also hit Restored several times in the hours after the massage. A massage that only worked my neck and upper back —they were a complete mess so don’t get me wrong, I’m super grateful about that, but I’m used to full body in an hour for reference. It was so good I just booked another for later this week.Because that’s the thing that makes me want to cry: Micaela’s office is 6 minutes away from a house I’ve lived in for 20 years, and I discover her 7 days before I move to Arizona. Why???? 😂 Thankfully I’ll be coming back to Houston for yearly visits, and you best believe I’ll find myself on Ms. Michaela’s schedule when I do.All the stars. All the recommendations. All the things. Not just yes, hells bells, holy shiitake, get in there, YES!
