I initially wasn’t keen on having Invisalign, but with my (very!) tight deadline to finish the treatment before my wedding, Dr Belur recommended this and it turned out fantastically - I even finished the treatment with a few weeks to spare. I’m also impressed with their aftercare - just because you’ve paid and finished treatment doesn’t mean you stop being a patient - Dr Belur ensures your teeth are in good shape (literally). Was referred to Belur Orthodontics by our dentist for my 17 year old son. The dentist said it was borderline whether he needed to see the orthodontist but said we may as well see what he had to say anyway and what the treatment options were should we decide that treatment was required. The staff were charming at Belur and seemed very knowledgeable. However once Mr Belur came in to give us his verdict, he gave the impression that treatment was critical for my son to avoid serious issues further down the line (he showed us some scary pictures), although none of it was covered by the NHS. Feeling under pressure I agreed to the treatment at £4300. Once home my husband questioned the need for this treatment and emailed Mr Belur asking whether this treatment being suggested was purely cosmetic as it was not available on the NHS. Mr Belur would not give my husband any sort of answer, suggesting that he came in "for a chat", despite at least 3 emails from my husband asking for a straight answer to this question. Mr Belur also tried calling us at least twice that day to discuss further but we did not answer the call. Frustrated and upset I asked our dentist to arrange for us to have a second opinion from another orthodontist. A lovely lady from West Street Dental Practice called me the same morning to discuss why I was asking for this, and said that having looked at my sons notes, the issues with his teeth were marginal and whether we wanted treatment or not would depend on whether the look of this bothered him and any treatment would be purely cosmetic. She was shocked about how pressured I had felt into agreeing to expensive treatment. Needless to say I have now cancelled our appointments and we will not be proceeding with any treatment. Less

Great Orthodontist Having waited for 2 years for Orthodontic treatment in vain, my daughter's dentist referred her to Belur Orthodontics for a second opinion. Surprisingly, after only a day's referral from our dentist, we heard from Priya (Practice Manager) and an appointment was arranged for my daughter within 2 weeks. Priya is a lovely and highly efficient lady who clearly told us there would be an half hour appointment where pictures, x-ray, mouldings would be taken and my daughter would also see Dr. Belur (Specialist Orthodontist). On the appointment day, we were greeted by the (Lead nurse), Georgiana who is also very nice and had all the procedures completed neatly. We then met Dr. Belur who is an attentive, humble and a very efficient doctor. He explained to my daughter her teeth situation and arranged a NHS bracing the same day as there was a cancelled appointment !!! The whole bracing process only took half an hour as he did it very skilfully and professionally. All I want to say is we not only experienced great service given by Dr. Belur but also experienced the super efficient services provided by the team so my daughter got braced straight away.
