We had Botum as his hairdresser who my son felt very comfortable with and she did a fabulous job with his hair. The salon was clean and a perfect set up for young kids. Malek was absolutely incredible with my son. This was his first real big boy haircut (19 months) and he was squirmy as can be, but she handled him with ease in 10 minutes!! not only was she efficient, but she made his hair look wonderful. We had such a great experience at Sharkey’s in Gaithersburg! Tiffany cut my 2-year-old son’s hair, and she was wonderful with him. This was the first time ever that he didn’t cry during a haircut, which says a lot! She was patient, friendly, and made him feel comfortable throughout the whole experience.I was so happy with his haircut and, especially, with how smoothly everything went. We will definitely be coming back to see Tiffany for his future haircuts. Highly recommend her, especially for little ones! 😊

We have come to Sharkeys for the last couple of years! We always book with Malek- she’s amazing with our two kids. She helped our son feel so comfortable with getting his hair cut - over time he has gone from tears to happily sitting for his cut. The kids love the fingernail painting, the lollypops, and the ballooons! We highly recommend!

We come to Sharkey all the way from Silver Spring, and we had a great experience! The staff was wonderful and very patient with my screaming 3-year-old. 😄 The kids had a great time, and we definitely plan to come back.A few things could be improved: I would recommend making sure the equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition, as some of it feels a little outdated. When we arrived, there was also about a 40-minute delay because they had taken in some additional clients, but the staff was very nice and did their best to resolve the situation.Overall, it’s a great place for kids with reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back!

It's difficult to find a place for a kids haircut to begin with, let alone a place that's good. Thankfully Sharkey's is both. The space is inviting and fun for kids, and I like that they don't push extras for purchase on the parents. My son is terrified of haircuts, but he was so excited to pick a truck to sit in, watch his favorite show on the TV, and pick a balloon at the end. We'll be coming back again!
