Stephanie, and her team helped me out tremendously when after a year of caregiving for my mother, I needed to find a solution that would be better for both of us. During a recent turn of events concerning my mom‘s health, she became non ambulatory. I was uncertain of what to do as I had just learned she would not be accepted into assisted-living and I did not want to put her in a nursing home. Stephanie is a godsend. Full stop. No exaggeration. She was referred to me by a home health company that had worked with her, and from the moment I got on the phone with her (after my kids went to bed, which was super helpful as a busy mom!) I felt like I was talking to a friend. My mother had just been admitted to the hospital and given a Dementia diagnosis, and doctors told me that living independently was no longer an option for her. Cue panic! Luckily, Stephanie’s vast network and first-hand experiences with all kinds of senior housing made the process so simple. The next day (the next day y’all!!) we toured multiple spots that fit our budget, priorities, and location preferences. She knew all the right questions to ask, had thoroughly vetted all of the places she showed me, and most of all, assured me everything was going to be OK. By the end of our super efficient day of site visits, I had found the perfect spot for mom! Something that really impressed me about Stephanie was that after I had decided and spoken to the lovely caregivers at the resident care home we selected, she personally reached out to everyone who we met with at the other facilities and graciously thanked them for their time despite us choosing another option. That’s class. And that’s why she’s the best at what she does: she sees people as people. Because she takes the time to get to know you and your loved one, as well as having strong relationships within the industry, Stephanie can make perfect matches and do so quickly! If you find yourself at this crossroads where you are looking for direction/guidance/support/even some laughs, I could not recommend Stephanie Duke any more!
