What a beautiful place to stay! Our first visit to North Carolina and Scarborough House Resort. Meeting our host family was such a pleasure. They were very attentive lovely people. We were traveling with another couple. We stayed in what was called,the farmhouse. It was a very Charming 2 BR 2 Bathroom house, Icould have been very happy living in. There were TVs in each BR and in the living room. all appliances were available and very nice. Full size refrigerator, stove, and washer/dryer. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom in the master BR was above and beyond anything you’d expect! There were several other options to stay in as well. The main house provided the historical option, with several choices that looked very inviting. The grounds had a fire pit that the host would build a fire in every night. There is a large beautiful pool for all guest to enjoy and another option to stay in the pool house. The estate has a very large covered open air facility for any activity you may want to host large or small, I’m sorry I just keep going on and on about the Scarborough House Resort, because we really enjoyed it and I wish we could have stayed longer!! We will be back. I loved everything about this little gem!! Less

I did not stay there but I did pull over. I was driving and exhausted and needed to walk around for safety sake. The staff came out and greeted me, they gave me water. They were very gracious and concerned for my safety. They kept me company while I walked around and woke up. I had an exhausting week and they were kind enough to keep me safe until I could get back on the road again. I do not know... More

If you are looking for a property that is relaxing with large safe walking area for you and your pet this is a great spot. I booked the pool house for two days for me and my 2 year old Yellow Lab. The pool area was large and great for a big dog and people swim. The house had 2 doors that led to the pool, this offered the convenience of just opening the door and instant access to the pool. There is a 5 foot brick wall that surrounds the pool for added safety. The pool house also had a side door that allowed you to go out without pool access. The huge area is flat, safe and easy to walk. I highly recommend this area. The host was always quick to respond to inquiries using the Air B&B app. Less
