Two years ago, I visited Prime IV for hydration before a half marathon and had a wonderful experience. Excited by that visit, I returned this year with my sister and cousin before my race—but this second experience was terrible. I called days in advance to book an appointment, only to be rudely informed by the receptionist that I had called 10 minutes before closing. I requested a 3:00 PM appointment to allow time for a lunch reservation, but we received texts stating appointments would begin at 2:30 PM. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for any acknowledgment of the delay from the receptionist.After 45 minutes, we finally had the consultation and were seated for our IVs. The nurse seemed uneducated, simply repeating that all options were “amazing”. Then before receiving the IV, she remarked on my “nice big veins” and that she has so much experience doing this… but once the needle was in, she started probing around until I became nervous. She said “one more push!” and a sharp pain and tingling shot down my arm into my fingers. I started to cry. After removing the needle, she wanted to try again while I was still in shock. When I resisted she blamed ME by saying, “Oh, your vein ran away from me” and that I should have drank water before coming to do this… mind you my blood pressure was perfect, indicating no signs of dehydration. I did not go forward with the service!Now, two days later, I have a strange sensation down my forearm when I straighten or twist it, apparently from hitting my medial nerve!!! Also, the area is discolored with a hard lump, which the nurses previously tried to gaslight me by saying it’s not going to bruise or swell… which I could clearly see with my own eyes that it was. This nurse’s incompetence and blame-shifting made the experience far worse. I would not recommend coming here. Less
