I arrived for a 4:15 pm appointment and the door was locked even though their posted hours are from 5am-7pm. I could hear the staff inside and they opened the door at about 4:10 for a class that turned out to be at 4:30, which is totally fair, I just wish that had been said in advance. It was busy (class size was about 30-35 people). The class was split into about 10 different groups/exercise stations with machines including rowers, treadmills, cable machines, and free weights. They also have ski-erg machines but we didn't use them for this program. The staff, and the owner are friendly and helpful. They keep the lights low and the music loud. There are two small, curtained, individual change spaces and open cubbies/shelving for personal property. The other clients were positive and supportive. I understand you can attend twice a week for $100/mo and they have a $5 for the first week promo where you can go as many as five times. They do a great job with branding, and celebrating their members for their number of completed workouts. I was invited to weigh in, and to have my picture taken to celebrate completing my first class. Things that weren't for me: they have a monitor where it appears they run paid advertising and a sponsoring vendor who is promoted by the coach at the end of the class and with a sales wall; smart marketing to a captive audience. As promised, the workout is not boring; you don't have time to get bored before it's time to move to the next station, and even within a station you switch exercises a few times. It makes the every first time a bit challenging to understand what to do next, but I expect people can catch on quickly. As a person who needs a few more modifications due to injury/disability, I appreciate the attention Coach Corrine was able to give me in such a busy class.Things that could take this service/program to 5/5: spend time with new/potential clients before the class either 1:1 or in a small group to show them the exercises and determine what modifications are needed before they have to jump in and try and keep up.
