I have golden retriever puppy, who I was having difficulty communicating with, she would sometimes follow commands. Following Mike's program I was able to better understand the behavior my dog was displaying and how best to deal with it. We developed a better way to communicate with recall and engagement through play. I had several puppy training classes with other organizations and nothing was worked as well as All Canines. Can't recommend All Canines enough! We worked with a trainer from a different company when we first got our puppy and had a mixed experience with his approach. Mike and the team at All Canines couldn't have been more different. From day one it was a positive experience, and our pup has progressed by leaps and bounds after just a few months of work. Our dog Frankie has always been an anxious guy and it only got worse in the pandemic. Lockdown in Brooklyn and then a move to Philadelphia, got him really anxious around strangers and very territorial around the house and yard. Mike's style of positive reinforcement has helped him immensely--we've been able to have people in our apartment and introduce him to them without fear of a bite or other calamity. I'm not going to lie...its been a lot of work outside of the sessions themselves, but Mike gives you the tools to communicate effectively with your dog in a way that I didn't realize was going to be possible. Frankie doesn't react on walks the way he used to, has now had several positive interactions in the house and yard with strangers, and we can't wait to see how he progresses even more in the coming months and years ahead thanks to the lessons we've learned from All Canines! I found this company through another website and really liked the idea of supporting a U.S. Veteran. Mike, Jennifer, and Emily are incredible. They are quick to respond, they do not make you feel pressured in any way, are there to help with any questions at all times of the day, and are super professional. From the moment we met them, we knew that they knew what they were doing. They helped us in so many ways. Jennifer researched huskies in particular and helped us with problems specific to this breed. She never gave up and would stay at training sessions longer than contracted when she witnessed certain behaviors so that she could work with our puppy in that moment and see what worked best to correct the problems. Mike is a gem. My daughter and I were lucky to have met him at an event in Manayunk. We took his business card as we had a new puppy at home. We purchased a three session package and Mike was able to come to our home for the training which was very convenient. We learned so many valuable tools for help with issues that we were having trouble with such as how to reduce leash pulling, how to discourage barking, and which dog treats were best and many other helpful tips. One thing in particular is really worth mentioning. I was struggling on my daily walks with my dog due to her stopping snd eating twigs, chasing squirrels and birds and lying down and not moving along. Mike gave me a whole different perspective on how to approach the daily walks and make them more enjoyable. The next day after our session, I used some of the tips that Mike suggested and it was like I I was looking at the walk from a completely different perspective . I was much more present in the moment and felt more calm and engaged on the walk. It was so helpful. I am continuing to work with Mike as life is always changing and new situations arise. My boyfriend and I rescued a 6-7 month old deaf border collie/brown lab mix puppy from Philly Rescue Angels… never having a deaf puppy before, we had no clue how to train or communicate with him….. Mike came to our house for the training sessions. Very personal, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. He was teaching us how to communicate with Noah using our hands. We taught us how to hand target, lay down, sit, and paw. After our first training session with Mike, Noah was a pro at all these things Mike taught us in the first training session… our second session he was teaching us stay, walking on a leash, and how to get his attention while walking with him on leash….. we’re still working on stay and house training…. But Noah seems to be improving with both…. I can’t thank Mike enough for everything he’s done for us in the first two training sessions….always allowing us to text or call him with any questions or tips we need help with…. Michael always takes incredible care of my pup, Richard. Michael has watched Richard on multiple occasions and is always super responsive and flexible with my (sometimes unreliable) schedule. Every time I drop Richard off for a day of dog-sitting, his ears perk up with excitement and he sprints to Michaels door and when I go to pick him up at the end of the day, he’s always exhausted from all the walks they go on.
