Mike and the team at All Canines have been supportive and informative from the first consult. Mike patiently answers all of our questions and clears up some common misconceptions about dog behavior and psychology. He focuses on positive reinforcement and working on behavior modification via communication and consistency. He's available outside of sessions and sends feedback in both video, text, and voice message. He has great resources to share for you to review in between sessions. He tailors his approach to each dog/human family. We're working on demand barking specifically and we're seeing good results with his approaches. We worked with Mike over five private sessions for our six year old dog, Dakota. We adopted our dog approximately four years ago and saw some regression in her behavior after we brought our first baby home. Mike listened to what behaviors we were hoping to correct or eliminate and helped to fix those problems. Everything was tailored to what we needed specifically for our dog. Mike is personable and super easy to work with. Mike coached us on how to improve our interactions with our dog and we saw improvements immediately. I have golden retriever puppy, who I was having difficulty communicating with, she would sometimes follow commands. Following Mike's program I was able to better understand the behavior my dog was displaying and how best to deal with it. We developed a better way to communicate with recall and engagement through play. I had several puppy training classes with other organizations and nothing was worked as well as All Canines. The classes are a bit pricey but well worth the expense, the relationship I now have with my pup is so much better and I look forward to her continued growth. Can't thank you enough!!

I brought my 5-year-old, 75 lb reactive hound dog mix to Mike, and I couldn't recommend him and his company more! What sets him apart from other trainers is his quick understanding of my dog, our daily routines and the main priorities I had. It allowed him to offer extremely personalized advice that could be immediately applied to our lives. Despite being a little worried before I started about cost, I found every session to be incredibly valuable, and Mike was always available between sessions for any questions I had. His work is absolutely worth every penny I spent (and more) -- thanks to his guidance, my dog's demeanor has completely changed for the better, and he is much happier and less stressed every day. Friends who have seen him recently have all remarked at how much calmer he seems. His reactivity on walks is also down to almost zero. If you're hesitating about seeking training for your reactive dog, I urge you to give Mike a try. He has surpassed any other trainer I've worked with and I learned so much! I walked into this watching a lot of YouTube vids and having a base of knowledge, but Mike really took it to the next level and unlocked so much for us and our dog. Mike taught us fundamentals and techniques, but I think his value was really opening us to a new perspective of what a relationship with your dog can be. Now, using his methods I don’t feel like I’m doing burdensome “training” with my dog, but truly building a bond and trust. As a result our dog’s recall improved, his attention is locked on me most times, he’s much better and more confident in different situations outside of the home, and ultimately he and I are just much happier together. I truly can’t thank Mike enough. If you are willing to put in the work and you care about your dog’s well being, Mike is your guy. And for a very specific story - our dog loves playing tug and was a true “lock jaw” dog. I could never get him to drop. In our first session with Mike, he re-routed our techniques and by the end of the session we could all get him to drop his toy. It was mind blowing!

We just finished a six-session package with All Canines and I can honestly say that it was life changing for my family! Emily and Mike work like a well-oiled machine and made the whole process as easy on us as possible. From the very beginning, Emily took care of the organization of our sessions and communicated with us all along the way through their company’s portal (which is very user-friendly). Once our schedule was set and payment plan was determined, Mike came to our home for each hour-long session right on time and with all the supplies he needed for the session. He was always respectful of our home, our dogs, and our family and never once rushed out the door to leave when the hour was up. In fact, he stayed late every single session, making sure to answer all the questions we had before leaving. We have two rescue dogs, both with very different personalities and needs, and Mike was able to genuinely tap into what motivates them and what we could do to train them as efficiently as possible. He was patient with all of our dogs ‘problem behaviors’ and never once made us feel ashamed for the lack of training our dogs clearly showed. On the contrary, Mike helped us feel empowered to continue our training after each session and he was always available to answer any questions we sent to him in between sessions. Whether in person or through messages, he explained everything in a very clear way that just helped things to ‘click’ for us. Plus, his approach with our dogs was always reinforcement-oriented, which we really appreciated. It was easy for us to engage with the training because it all revolved around what motivated our dogs and what was feasible for us as dog-owners. It honestly even made our training experience fun and something we looked forward to because we felt confident about being able to do the actual training, and we enjoyed the bonding experience it provided for us and our dogs. The progress we have made in regards to communicating with our dogs, reading their body language and understanding their needs, as well as, the progress our dogs have made with learning commands has been astounding. Can't recommend All Canines enough! We worked with a trainer from a different company when we first got our puppy and had a mixed experience with his approach. Mike and the team at All Canines couldn't have been more different. From day one it was a positive experience, and our pup has progressed by leaps and bounds after just a few months of work. Our dog Frankie has always been an anxious guy and it only got worse in the pandemic. Lockdown in Brooklyn and then a move to Philadelphia, got him really anxious around strangers and very territorial around the house and yard. Mike's style of positive reinforcement has helped him immensely--we've been able to have people in our apartment and introduce him to them without fear of a bite or other calamity. I'm not going to lie...its been a lot of work outside of the sessions themselves, but Mike gives you the tools to communicate effectively with your dog in a way that I didn't realize was going to be possible. Frankie doesn't react on walks the way he used to, has now had several positive interactions in the house and yard with strangers, and we can't wait to see how he progresses even more in the coming months and years ahead thanks to the lessons we've learned from All Canines!

I cannot even begin to say enough good things about this company. We have an absolutely beyond tough husky puppy (whom we love) that we needed help with. I found this company through another website and really liked the idea of supporting a U.S. Veteran. Mike, Jennifer, and Emily are incredible. They are quick to respond, they do not make you feel pressured in any way, are there to help with any questions at all times of the day, and are super professional. From the moment we met them, we knew that they knew what they were doing. They helped us in so many ways. Jennifer researched huskies in particular and helped us with problems specific to this breed. She never gave up and would stay at training sessions longer than contracted when she witnessed certain behaviors so that she could work with our puppy in that moment and see what worked best to correct the problems. Even though our dog has finished her sessions, we still hear from them to see how things are progressing. You will never be disappointed with this company. I truly feel that they are a part of our family.

All Canines made a dream of ours become a reality. The process of getting a puppy and training him was intimidating. Knowing we could rely on such knowledgeable and trustworthy people for the 4-week board and train program gave us the confidence we needed, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our puppy Smoky came back to us potty trained at 11 weeks! We loved the fact that our program came with 4 follow up lessons included to reinforce the principles learned at the board and train and to continue to progress with learning new things. A puppy was out of reach for us with our busy work schedules, but All Canines came through and had our backs. Mike and Emily are the best. Smoky looks forward to a lifelong relationship with them as we learn new things but more importantly have so much fun.

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Mike & Emily. Our new rescue Olive was a puppy mill breeding mom who spent her first 6 years of life in a crate. We just finished 3 sessions with Mike where he’s been helping us better understand Olive’s behavior, building truest, giving us the tools we need to help her gain confidence and learn what it means to be a loved, happy dog! Mike was amazing with my dog Lucy! We got the 6 session package and he has given me all the tools we need to keep learning. I got Mikes help for Lucy’s leash reactivity and we have come so far from when we first started! We could never take a peaceful walk and now both of us are much more at ease during our walks.
