I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Cynthia and Baers K9 Academy! 🥹❤️ Sending Uhtred away for board and train was a HUGE decision for me. I had never been away from him for that long, so naturally I was nervous, but Cynthia made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and throughout the entire process.Uhtred came home a completely different dog in all the best ways, while still being the same goofy, loving boy we sent her. His obedience is incredible, but the biggest difference for me has been his confidence and his reactivity around other dogs. Before training, seeing another dog on a walk could turn into a whole situation. Our first walk after bringing him home was honestly a DREAM. He noticed other dogs, stayed focused, listened to me, and I was actually able to relax and enjoy walking my dog. That alone is priceless to me.I also have to give some credit to Cynthia’s dogs, Bear and Nala! They helped Uhtred so much with distraction training and learning how to exist calmly and appropriately around other dogs. Seeing the difference that work made once we got him home was incredible.What I appreciate most is that Cynthia didn’t just train Uhtred and send him home. She taught US how to communicate with him, explained how to continue his training, and has continued supporting us after he came home. She’s even helping us work through some behaviors with our other German Shepherd, Sky, as everyone adjusts to Uhtred being home again. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she trains and wants her clients to succeed long after board and train is over.Most importantly, it was obvious that Uhtred was genuinely loved and cared for while he was with her. As someone who was nervous about leaving my baby, that meant everything to me.We joke that Uhtred went away to college and came home a distinguished gentleman, but that’s honestly exactly what happened. I am SO proud of him and beyond grateful to Cynthia, Bear, Nala, and Baers K9 Academy for everything they did for our boy.5 stars isn’t enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would recommend Cynthia a million times over!

Cynthia is amazing! Our Stella girl was a crazy one! Now at only 7 months old, she walks without a leash, listens to commands on the first try, and is so much more obedient. She is able to be off the leash with other dogs walking by and she doesn’t bat an eye. So proud of her and thankful for Cynthia’s training!

I would highly recommend Cynthia and Baers k9 Academy. Our sweet boy Cobey had the hardest time walking and we could not enjoy our walks because he pulled so hard and went crazy with any interaction with dogs or people. By the end of our sessions he walks and obeys perfectly and does amazing with people. Cynthia brought Haley in yo also help with Cobey. They made sure to not only train Cobey but to train us to understand how to keep it going. Now we can enjoy our walks with Cobey instead of it being a constant fight with him. Thank you Cynthia and Haley 💙

Haley is training my dog booster, and is doing a wonderful job. He is doing so much better after working with her. He is so calm in the house it’s makes me able to get work done around the house without constantly watching him. I wasn’t able to walk him without pulling, but now he is almost perfect on a leash. I recommend everyone works with Baers K9 Academy!!!

Baers K9 Academy was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The level of professionalism and knowledge from the trainers was clear right away, and they did a great job connecting that experience directly to me as the handler. It never felt like I was just watching someone train my dog they made it hands-on, which really helped everything click and made the work feel real and effective.My main struggle going in was reactivity, and they didn’t just address it they broke it down in a way I could understand and consistently apply. The coaching was clear, direct, and practical, and I left with tools and confidence to keep improving outside of sessions.If you’re serious about putting in the work and want real results, this is the place. After Working with Cynthia as her videographer and seeing how she interacts with Dogs as well as their owners, I am extremely impressed with her patience and her understanding of all the nuances of understanding the dog’s behavior and getting them to Enjoy engaging in training. She comes with a mindset focused on very effective training while caring so deeply for building a positive relationship between the dog and owner. I’ve worked with other dog training companies, and if I had to choose to train my dog, It would be a no-brainer to choose her or any of the employees under her company name. She emulates a positivity and calm demeanor that makes her clients happy with the entire experience, and the efficiency and the results She achieves is top-tier.

Haley is an amazing trainer! We worked with her when she was the trainer at Petco, she did our puppy training with our dog Mika. She was so sweet with Mika, very patient and was very helpful with any questions we had. This is our third time training a puppy, and she was by far the best trainer we used. She gave us tips to make things easier that we were never taught before. It made navigating the puppy phase so much easier! Mika knows so many helpful commands now thanks to Haley. One of the other dogs in class had some anxiety issues, and Haley did a great job getting the anxious pup to come out of her shell.I would definitely recommend working with Haley!

Not only are her prices incredibly reasonable compared to others in the area, but she’s also so flexible and accommodating with scheduling, which made everything stress-free.What really sets her apart is the passion she has for dog training! You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about both the dogs and their owners. She’s also just an all-around cool person, which makes the whole process enjoyable and comfortable.I learned so much about how to better communicate with my dog and was introduced to new methods I never would have tried on my own. The difference it’s made has been huge. I’m so grateful for her guidance and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, approachable, and dedicated trainer!
