A true 5 star experience. Our guide Eric was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent teacher as we were both beginners. He was also super friendly and laid back. We would do this again in a heartbeat. The scenery was over the top, pristine clear water, and we lucked out with great fall weather and very little wind. His dog Gus was a big bonus!

Owner, Mark Fuller, was quick to respond to my email inquiry and to answer any questions I had before the trip. He paired our group (4 women) with Dustin Coffey and David Lapointe, which were a perfect fit for us. They were patient in teaching us the basics of fly fishing, excited to show us the best spots on the Flathead River (North Fork) and took us right to the fish. The scenery was gorgeous and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Dustin and David went the extra mile to make sure we had a great trip!

Checked out afew fly fishing companies and decided to go with Wild Montana Anglers. No regrets! David made sure we got the basics right and had fun on the boat. It rained today but that didn’t dampen our mood at all. It was also amazing that we managed to see the bald eagle up close as it swooned in to catch the fish.

We had a great day fishing with David. The forecast was pretty miserable, but David was incredibly accommodating—asking what worked best for us and actively trying to find a weather window that would give us the best chance to get on the water.My wife, Krista, was a first-time fly fisher, and David did a great job giving her just enough instruction on casting and drifting without overcomplicating things. The payoff was pretty awesome: she caught her first cutthroat trout on a dry fly! I managed to put a few trout in the net myself before the skies finally opened up and the fishing got tough.David was personable, genuine, knowledgeable, and just easy to spend a morning with. He also gave us some great local intel on other things to see and do while we were in the area.And a shout-out to HilLarry at the fly shop for keeping us entertained before we headed out!Great experience all around. We’d absolutely fish with David again.

The entire experience with Wild Montana Anglers was great. Mark booked the trip and provided a lot of helpful information which made the whole process a breeze. My wife and I spent the whole day (would recommend full day) with Matt. He was incredible for fishing knowledge, helpful tips, and a great guy to talk to in general. He especially shined when he took the time before we got on the boat to teach my wife the basics on fly rod casting and how to land a fish. Matt got us both on a ton of rising cutthroat trout, and my wife got her first fish on a fly rod on the dry fly, which is a feat on its own imo. I would definitely go with Wild Montana Anglers and have Matt as our guide next time we visit.

What a thrilling experience. Dustin could not of been more knowledgeable about the fish their habitats and how to catch them. He also went above and beyond to be patient, helpful, and understanding when we needed help with our lines and lures (there were many times). Being my first visit to Montana I had many wildlife and nature questions. He answered every one I threw out to him that didn’t pertain to fishing. I learned all about the rocks, birds, trees and bushes along the river.If you want the best fishing but also want a more personalized experience I highly recommend going with this company. You will not be disappointed

Had the opportunity to fish the most beautiful stretch of the North Fork of the Flathead River with Dustin and a coworker today. My coworker had never fly fished before, and with Dustin’s exceptional instruction, he was pulling fish in the boat in no time. I usually take a couple guided trips a year, and today I learned some new tips that will up my angling game big time. Had an awesome time and caught a tank of a Cutthroat!

David is an excellent guide. We were on fish before we made it out of sight of our launch site. We caught cutthroat, rainbow and cutbow. My wife isn't a very experienced angler and David was very good helping her and she caught fish and enjoyed herself. His tips had me catching fish on my own later in the day! He also shared a scenic drive option for us to try. From what I can tell you can't go wrong with Wild Montana Anglers, all the staff we dealt with were top notch. When we come back I will rebook a trip with them.

Had the best full day experience with Mark and the team at Wild Montana Anglers this past week! I have pretty much zero experience with fishing and no experience with the wilderness and river where we fished. Mark handled everything including all of the necessary gear, permits, and training needed to have a great day. Mark is amazing at helping you learn the correct casting technique and was very patient with his coaching. I really appreciated learning about the area where we were including all of the wildlife we saw and about fish feeding patterns and how river currents work. Everything was safe and most important, fun! It’s always exhilarating catching a fish but the whole experience was a gem. Cannot recommend them enough if you are new or if you have a ton of experience and just want to have an epic day!

My son and I had David Lapointe as our tour guide and he was super patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had never been fly fishing before and he taught us how to cast and catch before we ever got on the water; this was super helpful so it wasn’t so chaotic trying to learn the basics while on the boat.
