David is an excellent guide. We were on fish before we made it out of sight of our launch site. We caught cutthroat, rainbow and cutbow. My wife isn't a very experienced angler and David was very good helping her and she caught fish and enjoyed herself. His tips had me catching fish on my own later in the day! He also shared a scenic drive option for us to try. From what I can tell you can't go wrong with Wild Montana Anglers, all the staff we dealt with were top notch. When we come back I will rebook a trip with them.

Had the best full day experience with Mark and the team at Wild Montana Anglers this past week! I have pretty much zero experience with fishing and no experience with the wilderness and river where we fished. Mark handled everything including all of the necessary gear, permits, and training needed to have a great day. Mark is amazing at helping you learn the correct casting technique and was very patient with his coaching. I really appreciated learning about the area where we were including all of the wildlife we saw and about fish feeding patterns and how river currents work. Everything was safe and most important, fun! It’s always exhilarating catching a fish but the whole experience was a gem. Cannot recommend them enough if you are new or if you have a ton of experience and just want to have an epic day!

Trip was exactly what I wanted. Educational and full of fishing opportunity. Mark was excellent and gave us a relaxing float while helping me hone my skills and teaching me new tricks to catch fish, which we did. Great guy and guide, full of Montana knowledge and truly cares about the preservation of the Flathead and its resources. I enjoyed my trip very much.

My son and I had David Lapointe as our tour guide and he was super patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had never been fly fishing before and he taught us how to cast and catch before we ever got on the water; this was super helpful so it wasn’t so chaotic trying to learn the basics while on the boat. Wild Montana Anglers did a great job on my one-day visit to the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Mark at the front office communicated well and answered my questions about how they managed trips and what they needed out of me. My guide Ryan Friel went above and beyond in ways I'm not going to share so as to not build unrealistic expectations, so I'll just say he willingly engaged in all the things that make guiding hard work at times. The result was a great experience tying into some beautiful Westslope Cutthroat on a day when the bugs weren't too active. I had a pretty consistently bent rod. All in all a great day and one I highly recommend.

Mark and I have fished together for around 10 years. This year, as a HS graduation present, I took my granddaughter to fish for 3 days on the S Fork Flathead River/Spotted Bear River. Mark has taught her well for the past 3 years as she out fished me again. I highly recommend Mark to improve any person’s fly fishing skills. Caught many cutthroat trouts with several in the 14-16 inch range and 1 colorful 18 incher the last day that actually went 4 feet air born Ike a rainbow. We had an absolutely incredible time with Mark, the owner of Wild Montana Anglers as well as his awesome team of David, Dustin, and Kari. We had basically no fly fishing experience and had kids from 8 up to 13 and the entire team was so incredibly patient and amazing the whole time with us all!! Our first hands on lesson started on land, where he broke down the finer points of setting the hook and fighting fish effectively, before we ever stepped into the water. Dustin has an incredible ability to combine years of experience with clear, practical explanations, even tying in the physics behind his techniques so everything made sense.The biggest takeaway for me was learning how to read water, choose the right fly for the conditions, and approach each situation with focus and confidence. His instruction was thoughtful, engaging, and packed with insights that I'll be using for years to come. My father, brother and I booked a forks trip with Wild Montana Anglers during our trip to Montana. We were looking to target cutthroat trout on the Flathead.
