Joey arrived to provide an estimate to replace my R6 HVAC ducts in my home, he is a pleasure to talk with, and very knowledgeable, he pretty much sold the project on that first visit. Regardless, after several quotes and visits from other companies, it was JL Midas and Joey's reputation that got them the job. These guys showed up ontime, were respectful of our home and worked diligently all day in an unpleasant attic (hot) to get my duct system replaced, made sure our bedrooms had AC as they had to finished on day two. Air flow calculations, balanced system, new distribution boxes, upsized return plenum, return ducts, saddles and a spotless work area this company is top notch. In addition Joey was one of the installers (lead) so you are talking with the guy who is doing the work. They have a great letter posted on their FB page from a very satisfied customer too. Kelly was a pleasure to talk with in the office, very professional and very nice. She explained what is involved and scheduled the job. Our air ducts were in such bad shape and in poor condition (full of water and mold, just laying in the ground up there in places, ruining our drywall and walls inside the house from excess moisture, duct taped and zip-tied at 90 degree angles, some ducts not even attached to the boot blowing air into the attic, even our laundry vent was blowing lint into the attic- which Jordan caught!). It was so overwhelming and I thought we would never be able to afford a repair/replacement. Needless to say, Jordan got up there, took detailed pictures, caught what other companies MISSED/ignored entirely, and gave us what I think was a fair estimate. Their team even cleaned up the lint and fixed my drier vent for free while they were up there! They also left my house spotless when they were done. I didn’t even see the dumpster they hauled all the nasty, old insulation garbage in because it was in and out so quickly! That was a plus. The best part was they came out and had it done in one day. I can’t even tell you the smell and air quality difference ALREADY. It makes me want to cry happy tears lol. I highly recommend them, because they do the SAME job as the other big name companies for half the cost- because they’re only paying their few courteous and experienced employees rather than a dozen employees scattered across a big name. Last Friday, we had James from JL Midas come out to the house to give us a quote on replacing the old, deteriorating ductwork and adding some blown-in insulation where it had settled and been pushed around over the last 35 years. During the inspection, we found black mold in the ducts. The amount of work that was done to save our system, and the manner in which it was done, were exceptional. James took the time to discuss all my options and then was able to fit us into the schedule the very next week, gave us a fair price for all the work, and the crew that came out to do the job was fantastic. All of the old ductwork was removed and replaced with properly hung, properly sized new ducts. The inlet and outlet of the air handler were sealed and all the registers were cleaned and sanitized. We had 3 pass-throughs installed, one new vent, and a ventilation jumper (essentially a fancier pass-through that better minimized noise and light transmission) installed for the master bedroom. Finally, the insulation for the entire house was topped off, so I know we will be much more comfortable this summer. The three young men that came to the house finished all this work in 2 short days, while remaining polite, considerate of the people and animals they had to work around, and accommodating to all the questions and concerns that I had. I am leaving out their names only out of respect for their privacy, but I would happily have them back anytime I need work done. Mark, Jonathan, and Acento arrived when they said they would and proceeded to remove the existing ductwork. Once that was completed, they built new distribution boxes, installed the new ductwork, and return air passthroughs at each bedroom. (The passthroughs are a code requirement that the other quote providers did not tell me about.) Once completed, the cooling in the house was uniform for the first time since the house was built. The dust build up in the house has diminished significantly and we could actually feel the difference the the air quality. Additionally, I called them late on a Friday afternoon with an unrelated issue, and they sent Trevor down here to fix the problem. He came directly to Port Saint Lucie from Edgewater, arrived at around 7 in the evening and not only fixed the problem we were experiencing, but identified some other potential problems and fixed them. This is a good company. You get what you pay for...these guys are good. Less

I have just gone through most of the summer without any AC because of a poorly designed, a poorly installed and a poorly diagnosed system. After countless visits from their technician that failed to find the fault they finally called in an expert from the distributer to show him that it was his equipment at fault. Within 30 minutes this guy showed that the system had been poorly planned and the installation of it had been poorly completed. My "new" ducts in the attic were now unattached. JL Midas did return the $1200 for new parts they had charged me. But have failed to make good on any of the other additional costs to me, including my garage flooding 3 times. Their excuses range from the county inspector passed it, to its poorly designed AC equipment, although its the one they sold me. Nothing seems to be their fault although they do seem quite proud that now its finally working as it should have done so from the start. They lacked the technical equipment to install and diagnose an AC system and had i known as much about AC systems then as I do now, I would never have used them. Less

Major issues that should have been caught by their technicians were caught by the inspector so it warranted them coming back to fix what should have been addressed the first time (holes in the ductwork at the top of the new unit they installed, outside unit not leveled, etc). Took an extremely long time for the to attempt to make it right. Still waiting a month after the fact for it to pass inspection! Wish I would have went with another company! Less
