As a lifelong surfer I have found acupuncture therapy to be of inestimable value in ameliorating the chronic upper back/neck pain that is a result my happy and healthy salt water addiction. Additionally, I've been in two separate vehicular accidents that have had a less-than-salubrious effect on these muscular issues. Over the course of almost 20 years as a regular acupuncture patient, I have been fortunate to utilize only three different Doctors of Chines Medicine in Costa Rica, and while all have been competent, Sera Balderston is the best I have had the pleasure to know.Sera appeared in my life at the perfect time just over a year ago. Her professional manner is casual but thorough. Kind and genuinely interested, she listens and then goes about her art in a most unassuming way; and yet she is intuitive in her approach to the necessary treatment. She makes recommendations based on my needs, as well as her years of clinical experience. Needle insertion is painless, and I usually slip into a meditative trance once they are in. The effects of her treatments are generally immediate, with a lingering beneficial effect that can often carry through for weeks.One could not hope for a better clinician and I highly recommend her services. Sera is an AMAZING HEALER!! SO glad I found her practice!! Do yourself a favor and go see her for almost anything (that hurts). She has suggested several different (very) effective treatment modalities and has morphed into my go to non-western medicine resource.
