We had a fantastic stay at Mediwake Bungalow in the charming town of Udadumbara that really exceeded our expectations. The hosts Jay and Shamil were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond by serving us delicious tea, drinks, dinner, and breakfast, and sharing all kinds of stories and advice. We also enjoyed a nice walk through the picturesque village to a waterfall.The room was spacious and stylish, extremely clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend visiting this beautiful mountainous area if you’re looking for an authentic Sri Lankan village experience away from the crowds, combined with truly comfortable and luxurious accommodation.

What a absolutely fantastic, soothing, relaxing and blissful time we had at Mediwake Bungalow. Could not have asked for more. Three days of quality family time, beating the Colombo heat, embracing nature in its abundance with beautiful mountain view, majestic trees and a beautifully done garden. The cozy feel, impeccably unique decor, true SriLankan hospitality not withstanding our late demands for coffee/tea etc, we felt truely pampered.Dont missout on a visit to the streamand campsite should you love a hike and a bit of adventure. It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and it was so easy to coordinate all nitty gritties with the lovely hosts Jayogi & Shamil both of whom always went out of the way to make us feel truly special. These two are hosts that passionately enjoys hosting and loves what they do. Make sure you ask for their custom made curd and ice cream. Thank you Jayogi, Shamil and Bandara for making our holiday truely memorable. We plan to visit again for sure.

素晴らしい宿でした！長らくスリランカに住んでいますが、ウダドゥンバラという小さな街にこんな素敵なホテルがあることに、まず驚き！オーナー夫妻のセンスが素晴らしく、アンティークのデコレーションとか、ミントグリーンと白に統一された家具、ファブリック類の色使いやチョイスがすごく洗練されています。あと可愛い人懐こいワンコ🐶が２匹います。下にある離れの方はベッドルームから絶景が望めます。食事もすごく美味しくて、辛いのが苦手な人用にも特別に別のおかず用意してくれたり…。ランカに10年近く住んでいますが、私のランカ史上ベスト3に入る宿でした！

This is one place that photos cannot do justice to reflect the serenity and the overall ambiance. The only way to experience is to be there in person and you will not be disappointed. If it is serenity, peace and nature you need, then this is the place to be.

Stayed for two nights with my wife and it was indeed a lovely experience. Rooms are well maintained and clean. We booked on FB basis and food was delicious and more than enough for 2. Views were great and we enjoyed staying on the view point mostly… town is walking distance from the place and it was very convenient for us.

This place is very charming, very relaxing, and beautiful at the same time. The staff is very welcoming and very warm. The rooms are very comfortable and very spacious. The atmosphere in this place is friendly and relaxing. The food is also very tasty and plentiful. I highly recommend this place!
