I had an amazing stay at Atlantic Palms Hotel! The location is perfect—right on the beach with stunning views of Table Mountain. Wonderful guest house, I can't recommend it enough.I originally booked on a booking site however I did a few changes within a few months & the hotel emailed me directly inviting me a better offer if I booked direct - still paying on arrival.I accepted, it was so much easier !From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you will not be disappointed.We were in room Sand Dollar 1 & were treated to a open fire every night, built & lit by the night staff.The front of house ladies couldn't be more friendly or inviting, all the staff we encountered made our stay a truly pleasant one. They were all so very attentive & ready for conversation.Breakfast is superb. Whilst the cold buffet of cereal, cold meats, fruit & bruschetta are a plenty, there's also a hot menu to choose from.I recommend not missing a blueberry muffin!The property itself is a on the beach & the sun sets directly behind it (May).It's around a 15 minute drive down to the V&A, far enough away to enjoy a safe, quiet & secluded vacation.However be aware of the returning traffic at rush hour, it can take upto an hour to get from town to Sunset beach.Amenities in the room included toiletries, kettle, safe, dressing gowns & slippers, fireplace, hairdryer & dressing table.The room had both a huge shower & a free standing bath. Both we're enjoyable after a long days sightseeing.The pool outside looks exactly like the pictures. Clean, brightly lit at night & secluded away from other neighbours.Our stay at Atlantic Palms was more than I could have hoped for & we're thankful for the conversations & the memories.If ever we're back in Cape Town, I won't hesitate to book direct with them again. Für die zwei vorhandenen Steckdosen war leider nur ein Verlängerungskabel für deutsche Geräte. Zimmer Poolblick nicht zu empfehlen, weil die anderen Gäste meistens direkt vorm eigenen Fenster sitzen. Nach einem Ausflug kamen wir um 17:00 Uhr zurück und das war Zimmer war nicht gereinigt. Als ersten Abend war der TV Zugang nicht funktionstüchtig und konnte am zweiten Abend nicht verbessert werden. From the kindness of the staff, to flexibility of food, timings,etc, this was really a good surprise.Room was lovely, very comfy beds and pillows (a hard and a soft one, you pick what you prefer!). Perfect temperature and great view and access to the pool. Bathroom is gorgeous (open space in this room, but with the right privacy). Private outside parking at no extra cost, garage with remote control. Direct access to dunes and beach (but water is very cold 🤭) pool is very clean and no screaming (no kids under 12 allowed) nor music - ideal to relax, exactly what we needed...The staff adapted to our every needs - I am vegan and they were so kind to even buy a variety of plant based cheese to fit the menu options they had available. What a treat 🥰Attention to detail in this hotel is great. Make sure you plan/book your meals ahead in the restaurant, since all is home made it takes more time than the usual hotel restaurants. It’s a very nice hotel but could do with some adjustments such as phones in the rooms and also the beds are very hard. I hope the key can be modern like other hotels not a physical key. Only had the pleasure of staying here for 1 night and I could’ve happily stayed here for a bit longer. It’s located a bit further out of central Capetown but the view of table mountain is amazing. We had a few International flight delays which cause issues with our original plans but the team at Atlantic Palms were very helpful and accommodating which was appreciated by two very tired travellers. I stayed here for 3 nights in August 24. The location of the hotel is apt for beach lovers. The hotel gives mesmerizing view of sunsets and the table mountain. It is centrally placed between V&A Waterfront and Atlantic Dunes (about 20-25 mins drive from both). A perfect place for a day trip to Franschhoek (Winery). Staff here is helpful and has fair ideas of things to do and places to eat. Bossa is must try place (also gives best sunset view). Swimming pool is perfect too. They also serve amazing food. 😋😋 Less

I highly recommend this property. We spend this past weekend here and had such an amazing, tranquil and relaxing time. As an extra bonus we got to join a 'Sip and Paint' event that was happening there, which was fantastic. The view and location are just spectacular. The team is warm, friendly and so accommodating. Soul Atlantic Palms is an upmarket BnB (not hotel per se) situated in a quiet suburb and easy to find. Initial check-in must be facilitated by reception and while the staff was very accommodating to meet us late after hours, this could be a problem for guests arriving late due to unforeseen circumstances, as opposed to a hotel with 247 reception which requires no notice of late check-in etc. The establishment consists of ground and first floor, with rooms situated on both levels. Our room was spacious, clean and well deserved 4-star quality. A bespoke welcoming note was left next to the bed, and aircon was on to warm the room. The shower, toilet, bath and basin was super clean. A large communal lounge, TV and kitchen area is situated in front of the room we stayed in, and while it seemed very cozy, clean and comfortable, it did raise a few concerns ito privacy and noise obtrusion being right next to our room - especially if you're bunkered in with inconsiderate and loud guests. First floor rooms lead onto a balcony with breathtaking views of the ocean, only negative is there are no barriers between rooms, so again this could be a concern to those that prefer their privacy and quietness. The quality and experience of your stay will thus totally depend on how busy the BnB is and what type of guests you will be sharing the establishment with. Luckily for us it was very quiet. Breakfast was fabulous, one of the best we've experienced in Cape Town. The manager and staff was professional and accommodating. This is a superb BnB choice for a short stay, provided there is not a high occupancy during your stay. Less

The place was great however upon arrival the guy who checked us in made a mistake and thought we hadn’t paid . He was ready to give us the card machine which is odd because I received millions of emails from them confirming receipt of payment or not. I found it very unprofessional. Breakfast was good but I was put off realising that the hotel staff does everything . So the person who makes your breakfast will also go to clean your room and also do room service or whatever else is required . They need to hire enough staff. We also did not get slippers and it was cold , our sheets were not change throughout our entire stay which was four days and when we arrived we had white face cloths and the next day they were removed . When we asked for them the guy at reception gave us used and bleached cloths. I was utterly disappointment and told him and nothing was done. My husband said I should just let it go.Otherwise the place is great. But I wouldn’t stay there again. A lot of things were just giving weird vibes. Less

Neatly located with direct beach access in a quiet neighborhood. The place could need some maintenance. The kitchenette outside the room has no cutlery nor plates. Do mind that the area is very windy. Staying outside can be chilly. I really enjoyed the breakfast here. The two ladies cooking the hot meals are very talented. I would not bother paying extra for pool access as you need to pull the curtains to prevent hotel guests from staring on your bed. Conversation outside may also keep you awake at night. I did see one laundry machine so it might be possible to wash your clothes here. Less
