The Hurt Locker

I’ve been a member of the hurt locker for 2 years. I joined With the goal of losing weight and getting fitter.
In those 2 years I’ve lost 25kg ( I reckon 30kg by the end of the year) of fat and packed on muscle. I’m stronger, fitter and healthier. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.
My body has completely changed, and with that, my confidence, personality and general outlook on life.
And that’s not even the best part.
I’ve made friends for life and feel like I’m part of a family, the Hurt locker family.
What makes this gym different, is the staff, the support and the community but most of all the training and the exercise.
Going to a ‘normal’ gym, gives you too many options to quit, you have no structure, no plan, no support.
In a ‘normal’ gym, i would go to use a machine or bench and some spice boy with a vest on is using it, I would just say to my self, ahh I’ll do it next time.
With the hurt locker, you have your own bench, your own weights and a routine with a purpose.
Gone is the anxiety of thinking “is what I’m doing correct?” Or “is this the correct exercise for giving me what I want out of training?”. Every session has a purpose. Every session is explained in detail so you know its purpose.
There’s no d**kheads, we’re all in the same boat and we all encourage each other.
I look forward to every session.
I’ve had friends join the hurt locker and they’ve thanked me for it. Their lives, bodies and health have also taken dramatic changes for the best.
I can’t see my self ever leaving, I’m a ‘lifer’ for sure, hopefully 🙏
I don’t think I’ve ever said thankyou to James, David, Michael and Charlie, and if I have I haven’t done it enough.
So a massive thankyou to you, for the help, knowledge, support and feeling of belonging ❤️
