Calphin management has withheld my 250$ refund from the time they closed Calphin, Newark starting September 2025. They are not ready to release funds even though one of the staff confirmedthey will write check to me. It’s been Long chase and they are trying to make money with these dirty tricks.Are they any other parent who’s in same situation Or is able to get refund from Calphin management?It’s surely untrusted swim academy and not recommended to any parent/child as coaches are equally unprofessional.

Calphin swim academy has been under renovation and has been shutdown. Rather than returning the money, they kept it with them and are refusing to refund it with no line of sight.This is a very shady practice, renovations etc. are not surprises and Calphin cannot place us hostage with the money. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PRACTICE

Outdoor swimming at AHS has been chaotic. The instructors for Glider were changed, and the two high school girls teaching the class have not even asked the Glider 2 students to practice breaststroke during these past few weeks. They mostly chat among themselves after every round while the kids wait for instructions.

My daughter is really learning how to swim, the teachers are very nice, and are helpful when my daughter struggles with a stroke. They are patient with her. Overall the teachers are great and we enjoy our time at Calphin!

We've been with Calphin Swim Academy for a while now and couldn't be happier with our kids' progress. When they first started, they were hesitant in the water — now they're swimming with real confidence and technique. The instructors here are patient, encouraging, and clearly know how to connect with kids at every level. I’ve been to 3 swim schools and Calphin is so far the best overall. All of the instructors are very responsible and they has a well structured plan to let the kids progressively learn and practice. They are also very efficient even for group classes. Every kid gets plenty of time to practice, instead of waiting and wasting time on the side. This is critical for learning swimming.

They have great instructors. Both of my kids are enrolled. My younger one was really scared during the show, but they were incredibly patient and helped her get through it. I’d definitely recommend them.

Both my boys have been going to Calphin for about an year now, this is the only place they were able to stick to the classes and learn swimming. Appreciate their coaching style!

My boys have had a great experience at Calphin the past 2 years. Their swimming abilities have improved significantly and I could see their confidence build in the pool. The instructors are always a lot of fun.
