I highly recommend working with 4 Core Financial, LLC as your broker when you are ready to apply for Medicare insurance coverage. I was forced into a situation where I had to resign from my job and find new insurance in less than 4 weeks notice. In my case it was a crash course in maneuvering the idiosyncrasies of Medicare which for anyone who has gone through that process understands how complicated and confusing finding the best plan for you and then applying for coverage can be.I was in and out of work on medical leave over a two and a half year period initially for neurological complications and then stage 3 cancer towards the end of the two and a half years. It was a few days before the 4th of July 2025 that I received a call from my employer's HR department informing me that as of July 24 2025 I will have been out on leave for 1 year and I needed to either come back to work or resign; I was given 2 days to make this decision. The next day I received an email stating that if I resigned the cost of my medical benefits would triple plus a 2% service fee. With my health issues, especially the recent diagnosis of cancer there was no way I could return to work. Since I was over 65 I decided to retire and begin my search for Medicare coverage. I did my due diligence researching traditional Medicare Part A and B and other options for someone like me who required the care of Specialists in New York City and at Yale University in Connecticut. I spoke with my Primary Care Physician (PCP) for his advice and he recommended I call an agent he knew at 4 Core Financial for assistance since I had such a short period of time to make a decision. I did as my PCP recommended. Working with a 4 Core Financial agent who understood all the options and complexities of Medicare was such a relief. Unexpectedly the agent experienced challenges with licensing in Connecticut where I live and he thought he would be able to get them resolved quickly so I would be able to apply for the coverage I needed by July 31 when my insurance coverage with my employer would expire. It turned out he could not get the issue resolved and before I knew it it was July 30 and he could not submit my application. This is when the unimaginable happened. The morning of July 31 the President, CEO of 4 Core Financial, Joe Violetta, called me and said he understood my applications for coverage had not been submitted and this needed to be resolved by the end of the day to prevent me from having a lapse in medical insurance. I am certain Joe already had a full day of client meetings yet over the course of the day he spent over 2 hours with me making sure I was choosing the right plan for my needs, registering me for supplemental coverage that ensured I could use any doctor not just a limited network of doctors and registering me for a separate prescription plan to cover the wide range of medications I am required to take. Joe submitted my applications real time while I was on the phone with him and come August 1 I logged into my new service provider with full coverage and no lapse in coverage. There were some challenges with the submission of my prescription coverage. There were technical issues on the site when Joe submitted my application although Joe stuck with me until August 5th working with the provider to make sure my application was submitted and accepted ensuring my prescription coverage was also active as of August 1.I don't know how to thank you Joe except to tell anyone who is getting ready to retire and sign up for Medicare or who is assisting a loved one with getting Medicare to contact 4 Core Financial for assistance with choosing the right plan and the peace of mind that the submission of your application will be accepted and valid on the day you need your new coverage.
