What a disappointment. I found huge cockroach crawling on my table while I am eating and I crushed it and killed it then reported it to two people and didn't even get a simple apology or any recognition at all. This is not acceptable. They used to be great when they had female employees and now they operating with just single person, a male employee and absolutely horrible guy for service. They don't even check if you need anything , or check how the food is a so on. This place has Absoltely took a free fall since they changed their servers . What a disaster . I will expect a change once someone read this.

I choose this café for two main reasons: the food they serve is very good quality, and the café is only about two minutes from my home. Overall, I genuinely like the food and the location.However, today at around 11:50 AM, I went to the café to purchase meat and injera, and unfortunately, I had another disappointing customer service experience.When I arrived, there was a female employee in the kitchen area and a male employee behind the bar. The male employee was using his phone and chewing gum. I approached him and asked who could help me with the meat order. He said something to me and pointed toward the kitchen. I understood that the other employee would assist me.Unfortunately, I was unable to communicate clearly with her because of the language barrier. I therefore went back to the male employee and asked again. He told me that someone else would help me. I patiently sat down and waited.Approximately 25 minutes later, the owner came in, politely apologized, and personally assisted me. I really appreciated the way she handled the situation.My main concern is that the male employee does not appear to understand that serving customers is part of his job responsibility. When I come to the café as a customer, his attitude sometimes makes me feel as though he is doing me a personal favor rather than performing his professional responsibility.This is also not the first time I have experienced this type of behavior from him. I have had similar customer service experiences on previous visits, which makes me feel that this is not simply a one-time mistake.I genuinely want to continue visiting this café because I like the food and it is extremely convenient for me. However, because of this customer service issue, I have started traveling 10–15 minutes to Engocha Market near Skyline to purchase the same type of food instead. That is disappointing because the problem is not the quality of the food—it is the customer service.

Around 4:30 PM, my child and I walked in to place an order, and from the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt very unwelcoming. The employee at the front stayed on his phone the entire time we approached the counter. There was no greeting, acknowledgment, or basic customer service.I ordered pasta with fish and was told the total would be around $75, which immediately seemed extremely high. I asked to see the menu because the pasta price listed was $13.99, yet I was being charged over $22–$23 for it. The employee couldn’t explain the pricing, so he called the manager.Unfortunately, the manager’s behavior made the situation much worse. He was rude, aggressive, and became offended when I questioned the pricing. What shocked me most was that he began making comments about my daughter, who is a minor. That was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.At that point, I requested a refund because I no longer felt comfortable continuing the order due to the manager’s attitude and behavior.Now I understand why the restaurant was nearly empty during the afternoon and holiday hours. The customer service was terrible, the environment felt hostile, and the overall experience was very disappointing

I usually go to Time Ethiopian Cafe and Market to buy Ethiopian bread(injera), meat, and other miscellaneous items, and I’ve never actually sat down to eat there. But last week, I ordered tibs and a vegetarian combo, and the food was excellent. the flavors were great, and the portions and variety were better than most Ethiopian restaurants I’ve tried.Today, I ordered fish cutlet with pasta, and once again, the taste was amazing and the portion was more than enough for one person. I really hope they keep the food quality this consistent.

I visit Tim’s Cafe and Market Ethiopia Cafe once or twice a week because it is close to my house, usually just to pick up a few items. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the waiters has been consistently negative.When customers sit down to eat, he is polite because he expects tips. But when I only buy items to go, his attitude changes. He acts rude, breathes heavily as if he is annoyed, and behaves like he is doing me a favor. When I ask simple questionssuch as for a bag or how to pay he responds with frustration and impatience.This has happened many times, not just once or twice. I was there again yesterday and experienced the same behavior. I mentioned this during a family gathering, and several family members said they know exactly who I’m talking about and have stopped going to the store because of him.It’s disappointing, because the location is convenient, but customer service should be respectful to everyone whether they dine in or just make a quick purchase.

Time cafe’s staff were really friendly to first timer and they thoroughly explained the menu and made some really great recommendations! Really impressed with their vegetable combo this is definitely a must-try!
