I've been ordering Meal in a Jar off and on for a few years now, and the only reason I don't order every week is because it can get a bit repetitive -- the menu doesn't change (at least not since I've been ordering them). Having said that, the quality of the ingredients and the variety they do have in the available meals is excellent. I love that there are dairy-free options for me (because of an allergy) right alongside the full-dairy options for my husband, but with lots of fresh veggies in each. I can actually stretch one 750ml jar into two separate meals (though they do become pretty light meals), so it makes my money go further, too. I also love that the company will take back your empty jars to sanitize and reuse them for future orders. You rinse them, pack them back in the box, and they'll pick them up during your next delivery. It's really nice knowing there's no extra waste from the packaging, like you sometimes get with other meal delivery services. AND you have the option of local delivery if you're in the KW area, or you can pick up your jars yourself if you're close by and want to save the delivery fee. Overall, I highly recommend these jars because they're delicious, fresh, super convenient and very low waste. A lot of them can be eaten cold straight out of the fridge since they're more like salads, so bonus points for not even needing to take the time to heat them. Some jars do definitely taste better if you heat them in the microwave or on the stove, like the Pulled Pork and Smashed Potatoes or the Mac and Cheese. My only notes: I would love to see a slightly smaller jar option for anyone who can't eat the 750ml size, or who wants to go a bit leaner. And I would love to see a bit more variety, like a rotating or more seasonal menu. With those updates, I would definitely order every single week!

I subscribe for 2 months. The meals are great, they are very responsive. The ability to swap flavours each week keeps it interesting on the pallet. I cancelled my services because of the delivery zone I live in. My intention was to have them for lunch for work, but being out of the tri city, my meals were delivered on Wednesday. I found that I always ended up with food waste even when I reduced to 4 jars a week because of the weekend gap and the 5 day expiration ( which just means it super fresh ). If delivery happed on a Sunday it would work better for my intended use of the meal plan. Overall food was amazing, well packaged, fresh.

First impression, the presentation of the foods surprised us. Such elaborate dishes though they were in take-out containers Vegetables in both dishes were fresh! I can’t handle too spicy foods, but the Spicy Dakgalbi was rather mild-spicy with favourably deep flavour. For the Chicken Spicy Mayo Rice, the diced chicken’s seasoning was on the point, going well with the vegetables and the sauce. The fried rice had rich, buttery flavour (black pepper added = 120/100) Overall, a very satisfying dinner with no leftovers :) For a healthy but appetizing dishes They would even attract those people who don’t enjoy vegetables like my son who had it with me. Will definitely order them again 👍🏻
